Aftermarket X pipe and pully
Questions of running aftermarket catless X pipe and pully.
Is it necessary to do a tune running these two? I personally am not a big fan of the smell of the catless x pipe, do I loose power if I weld on some high flow cats? |

You don't need to run catless. A performance x-pipe without the primaries but high-flow secondaries will provide all the performance without smells. Why do you want to change the pulleys? |

Seeing from the dyno, back to back with and without the under driver pully makes 19hp and 7 torque difference. |

I would ask the tuner how they make the gains. Is it from ignition advance, cam tuning? How much extra fuel is injected and why? Then make your mind up based on their answers.
I've always used Evolve. Given the water pump, aircon and power steering consume around 1hp, how can changing the pulleys provide any power increase? I can't work it out but I might be missing something. |

A good tuner should be adjusting your tune for your specific mods and not using a one size fits all - especially at this price point.
A custom X pipe or exhaust system will likely need a change to cam advance at lower rpm to take advantage of the extra exhaust flow. |
