Anyone have Space Gray with Beige?
I'm thinking about changing from Alpine to Space Gray. I won't change from Beige extended, so was wondering if anyone has that combination or can comment.
Thanks, Joe

I think that if you insist on beige, space gray will look much better.

The Audi is sold as of last week. I could be loaded if I hadn't bought that car. $35k depreciation in two and a half years, tires that last 10k miles, have to pull the engine to change O2 sensors (or anything else for that matter), any repair is typically north of $3k. It was a bad ass car, no doubt, but I could have put the money to better use. I'm now down to: one car (e46) one girlfriend (in PA) one apartment (in NY) one house (in CA) one wife (in house) and four sets of tires and wheels (in apartment) I'm trying to simplify. Once I get rid of some of the tires, the wife and the house, I'll be happy. How does Space Gray look with a Beige interior?

That's cool. Any attempt at humor is better than no attempt. The world would suck without smart-asses. Then we would only have dumb-asses.

Wow, that's pretty bold to admit that you've got the GF and the wife, with the pic of your spread there to identify you.
Or are you getting divorced? Not to pry or anything, just considered that ballsy! |

Yeah. I'm not that bold. The Mrs and I have been separated since early '04. I've just been too lazy to complete the divorce. We get along fine now that we don't live together. I just like to drop that girlfriend/wife line every now and then, because it sounds kinda cool, when in fact I'm just a geek. The sig picture is my brother's place in CA where I used to leave the e46 when I was living in PA. My CA place is an old ranch that doesn't photo as well.

I have seen Space Grey and Cream Beige in a 335i coupe and it looked quite nice.
I know cream and bamboo aren't the same but I still think it would look nice. |

I personally think beige would look much better with AW instead of SG. Now if you went with fox red it would look great with either color. I am leaning toward SG with FR right now but AW with beige is a close second.

Back to the question...
Getting back to your original question -- Space Grey with non-extended Beige -- it's exactly what I have and I love it. (I have it on my E93 which I got about 2 months ago.)
For me it was a last-minute order change -- I was going to do a more conventional combination -- but I just couldn't force myself to get another car that looked like my old one. Once I made the change, and during the long wait for delivery, I was convinced that I had made a bad decision...until I actually got the car. Honestly, I think it's a great combination. I don't think I would like it as much if I had gotten the extended interior; there's something nice about the stark contrast between black & beige that just looks terrific. (Interestingly, my 2003 Boxster has a similar interior treatment (grey and black) and that two-tone interior was considered an option at the time!) By the way, Anthracite trim makes a perfect half-way point in colors; it has just enough brown in its otherwise-black look. Obviously, colors (and combinations of colors) are a matter of personal preference. For me, while I had doubted this combination before I got the car, I am really happy that I got it. Knowing what I know, I would do it again in a heartbeat. I know that there aren't many pics of this combination around, so if you want some, let me know.

Beige will go better with SG than with AW, IMHO. Black (either) would probably be the best existing M3 exterior color that goes with the beige. I think something along the lines of a Sepang Bronze or a green would be even better.

Nope, Friday night scrabble games and shuttling preteen girls to Jonas Bros concerts is my bag now. By the way, real bikers and old Hells Angels are generally pretty cool dudes.

I have that on my 335. Looks great imo. Here's a pic so you can at least get an idea of the color combo though obviously not the exact same thing.
