I want to end the seepage from the stock power steering reservoir, and here's what I've found so far as remedies

Morso:

I saw a clever one where you put a wristband over the entire reservoir to catch the seepage.

I thought I saw somewhere that a power steering reservoir from another BMW platform, maybe an X5 has a larger capacity and remedies the issue for us?

If not, any other recommendations are encouraged.

Thx

Vent it to a small catch can. I used a bmw motorcycle part. I think my shop charged ~$50, including parts.

The Do88 PS cooler is significantly larger too, which I'd recommend.

Remember that the oem reservoir is also the system filter. Replacing the oem component with an aluminum unit deletes the filter unless you add an inline filter somewhere.

We don't replace a lot of power steering pumps, but historically, the cars that needed them usually had an aluminum "upgrade" reservoir. Think twice, and add a filter if you do. The 3D design part would preserve the system filter. While you're at it, replace the reservoir to renew the filter.

We now also carry Future Classic Power Steering Reservoirs. This is a brand new release.

I did not know that. I'll have to reconsider my choices. Thanks for that.

Agreed.
I didn't like having my engine bay sprayed down with a fog of power steering fluid every time I went to the track, so I did the Moroso reservoir.
Felt wrong that it didn't have a filter though, so I added one to the return line.

It's not the easiest or least expensive solution, but it is a solution.
