2011 E90 (comp PKG) with dinan exhaust and differential (3.45)
Guys,
With 6K on the ODO in the E90 2011 (CP), I just had dinan (Campbell in bay area Northern Cal) install the 3.45 differential with the free low exhaust today. The toy (car) is more aggressive than ever with the combo diff and exhaust. In normal driving mode it seems to be quicker/faster than the M mode. The black tips really complements the car as shown in the pics. I do see a slight higher RPM of 300 at 80MPH but I do not put a lot of miles on it (2.6 years with 6K). The exhaust sounds great and not too loud which I was afraid of. Any comments? |

Big fan of the Dinan, no drone whatsoever. The 2 fake tips do bother me too, but I got over it.

Thanks guys.. I got it back today and love the cars response (rev happy).. Only question is what to do with the old exhaust? I will hold it in the garage for some time and might dump it sooner or later.

The 3.45 with exhaust does take some MPG off. I getting on average of 16-17 MPG where I use to get 18ish with out the 2 mods. But again, its a toy and I do not put too much miles on it. I like the 3.45 compared to the 3.62 (more torque) but that is just my taste. With the 3.45 (with exhaust), you can really feel the difference at all gears without the M button on. I not sure how much the exhaust has to to with the added power since I got both mods done at the same time. But I would venture to say that the largest variable is the diff and secondary is the exhaust.
Pros: faster acceleration at all gears excellent sound at all RPMS but not too loud Cons: will loose some MPG but this is all relative to the owner cost but I figure if you have a M3, you can afford it |
