angel eyes
this may of been talked about more than serveral times but i apologize and can not find the topics. the new x5 or LCI bmws have this led blueish look to the angel eyes and are much brigther. i tried 2 different bulbs on my e92 m3 with no luck. are the new systems different by rings? bulbs? how are they setup.. and can we retrofit or will a system like lux8 come close to it?

Currently the LUX is the closest plug and play option to the new OEM look. Anything else like the Orion systems would be brighter but is a more invasive installation.

Lux H8 5000K. $245 well spent. White but not blue. You will not be dissapointed.

I'm in the same boat and from all my forum searches and random comparison searches, lux seems to be one of the most popular and recommended. I personally order a set of lux 3 days ago and it should be arriving today. I'll let you know how they turn out vs all the hype

I just finished installing the lights and I'm pleased so far. They aren't crazy bright and the outer ring doesn't look to be fully illuminated, but there's undoubtedly an improved difference. My goal was simply to replace the yellowish halogen with a white light and it's been done. Although my hands were big and matching up the threads was a pain in the butt, the plug and play install is simple. I'd recommend them.

oh and i took a drive tonight to see how they look outside and i retract my statement about the outer ring not looking fully illuminated. must have been my garage lights hiding them, they look fine head on

looks great im going to order today. i noticed your amber turn signal is not on only the small amber LED int he corner when the lights are on.. is this on the 11+ m3s they turned them off from the factory because mine stay light when the headlights are on. gives the AEs an amber look drowns them out. is there a fix or do these need to be coded out?

OSS/Orion is closest look to the new OEMs, but you are looking at $575 plus shipping your headlights. Pic of my car with OSS(they look more purple than they really are in real life in these pictures):

They look pretty good! Are these the lux v3 5000k or the normal 6500k?

Another cool coding feature to make the halos shine is the halo brightness adjustment code, huge difference between the two settings. Can't wait to put my 5000k LUX on to see the difference.

Does anyone make angel eyes like the DTM cars that are flattened?
I'd open the headlights for something like that if it's done well. .
