Akrapovic Evolution and TX State Inspection
So anybody else have the baddestass (totally a real word) titanium exhaust that won't pass state inspection? Well I do...
I'm on my phone right now, so I'll be updating the thread later. However, if anyone has any tips they'd be greatly appreciated. I'll be calling IND and ESS about it tomorrow. May have to drive to the less desirable parts of town for an inspection like I used to do with my B5 S4. I was hoping that I could avoid this problem, but its not looking that way. Thank, JC

Why did it fail exactly? Do you live in an emissions testing county? My 330 with no cats passed TX inspection.

OP: You aren't going to get iND or ESS to tell you that your car will pass inspection with the Evo.
Another member has already done this and the system will pass in Harris County if you use the most current ESS Akrapovic tune. Without the tune you car will fail > 1 emissions system readiness check. You are allowed to have one readiness failure and with the ESS Tune you should only have one for the rear o2 sensors. This was the case for the other member and myself before I went to the SC tune. Other tunes may also work but this is a proven setup. Good luck!

You may want to ask this in the subsequent California regional board since the emissions standards for California are much stricter then those in Texas. So the information that the op has may not work for you in California.
