Lightbulb Driving to the Keys for the weekend, May 16-17

Some guys and I (probably) are driving to and spending the night in the Keys at a hotel Islamorada on May 16-17. It is to the same hotel that has put on and held the yearly Corvette gathering so they have plenty of parking and security.

They have already secured a group rate of $129/night as opposed to the regular room rate of 200+/night.

The more the better and all are welcome. It'll be a nice drive down to the Keys, dinner for those who are interested in spending the night and some nice "scenery" to look at for those who are into those things because this hotel/resort is right on the water.

You're more than welcome to... I know that 20 or so Lexus guys are going. I would have thought there would have been more BMW guys willing to go, guess not.

Side question... what detailing liquid do you use to help keep the exhaust off the rear bumper and trunk. I've had to clear bar the back twice now and it's still rough from the exhaust debris.

Yup... It seems to be the worst out of any BMW I've owned thus far.

The room rate is guaranteed until April 16th from what I am told, after that it may change.

I was told that even though the deadline has passed, there are rooms left if case anyone was interested.

Ok... good to know, I'll just have to keep that area waxed.

Well if you are interested, the Lexus group is departing Pines & I75 @ 9:30am and they are departing the Fl Turnpike Service Plaza @ 10:30am en route to the Keys. I think they said they are going to go down US1 (instead of Card Sound).
