Angel Eyes Advice

A lot of you guys seem to have these high on your upgrade list and I am interested in joining you.
But what are the best ones to buy?
What is involved in fitting them? What is it that you actually replace? Presumably (being really thick here) not the circular bit itself.
Whats the stuff about error codes?

Since I asked the same question about a month ago I can chime in.

There are a lot of different versions of Angel Eyes which are comparibly the same in quality. A slight variation to how evenly they distribute the light from the inner and outer rings.

Depending on what you want to pay, North American Motorsports have the best ones going as far as brightest and member satisfaction. They do have a current recall on the newer kits but they have been more than helpful in resolving that issue.

If you want lower cost kits, check out the vender section and there are less expensive alternatives. All look to be improvements compared to OEM.

Most of the kits are simple bulb replacements. Some have their own additional power supply and are 15min installations.

I fully intend to go OSS version once I can find a block of time to send my lamps.

Oh, they're nice. Not an option for me in the UK though as I can't ship the lights out there. I guess I'll look at one of the simpler options.

OSS all the way i had the camaross305 kit its good but wow Oss look soo good just had them put in yesterday by AKMotorwerk ill try to post some pics soon

If you have two cars then go for OSS design. If not then stick with Lux or something.

Then again, don't go for OSS Design cause I don't want too many Ms out there to have the same angel eyes like mine

If OSS is not an option for you then I'd recommend the Lux H8 or Angel iBright if you want a simple pnp replacement and error free product.

Well OSS would be good but can't really send my lights off as I'm in the UK. So I thought Lux was the answer until I read about the problems of overheating resulting in a recall. Certainly NA Motor sports have no stock. Hence my question on the E92-lighting offering. Otherwise I'm kinda stuck.

WeissLicht is going to be easier, they are plug and play LED replacements so you do not have to get a new housing or send the old housing in.

PIAA has a 6500K LED halo bulb available as well. I don't know of anyone that has used this kit and its on par with the other setups based on price and components. Fitment is for all E9x models according to the info. If anyone has these or had these and can provide feedback feel free.

He has alot of bad press but I dealt with him twice. He has always delivered albeit after much time and with virtually no communication. That is his main problem, he just doesn't keep in touch with updates.

As to the DTEC, I have not had any experience with that product. I am running the GP Thunders which are just a bulb replacement. They look good for what you are paying for them and they will not go wrong.

OSS is obviously the best, second best though has to be LUX! For all the problems they have at the moment, they still look better than virtually anything out there (excluding the OSS).

My advice is to get a cheap bulb like the GP Thunders to tide you over until all the LUX dust settles and then place an order for that. This is actually my plan so good luck with your decision.
