Who has Cartier love bracelet? Is it a good gift for first year anniversary?

I wanna get a gift which is meaningful for my wife,Cartier love bracelet is a good idea? Or any good suggestion? I love the history of cartier love bracelet and the way of how it was designed. This is our first year anniversary, want to get her a gift which she can see it or wear it everyday.

Nice thought... But IMO set the bar low. Doesn't mean don't do something special, but there is no need to spend 4 grand on something this early in the game.

You have lots of anniversaries ahead of you and if your wife looks at things incrementally it's going to expensive at year 5 or so.

Just a thought.

Do something really sentimental that will show her you put a lot of thought and time into it. Walking into a store and buying something really doesn't show that, to be honest

Well, the first anniversary is traditionally the paper one, so I'd stick with that theme. If you want to give her something expensive and paper, try art, or if she knows how to read, a signed first edition book. Given you are willing to spend Cartier-worthy sums, if the book is a good thing for her, you can get something that would be considered investment quality.

If you give a Love bracelet now, what will you do for your 25th? Give her a whole bar? That's what she's gonna expect.

The modern 1st anniversary themes are plastic and clocks
  • clocks,
  • adult gifts
  • cooking lessons -- you can do this together
  • cookware -- don't give this if she needs the preceding idea
  • kitchen appliances - same principle as cookware
  • yoga mats -- excellent for multiple situations:
    • excellent "go with" gift if you do cooking lessons and you think "sex" and "food" are synonyms
    • excellent if you just had your first child and she wants/needs to get back in shape
  • watches
  • tickets -- theater, concert, plane, boat

You may want to look at the things on her bridal registry that y'all didn't get and pick something from there. You can be sure the Love Bracelet will be meaningful, but by buying that you run the risk of it having no particular meaning beyond it's cost and "oh look at me" appeal, unless there's some history you and she share and that has something to do with it. Expensive gifts that are of no particular note beyond their expense are not generally good gifts for one's wife. They are, on the other hand, excellent gifts for one's mistress.

Good luck and congrats!

PS
I'm hoping you understand which parts of my post are humor and which parts are legit suggestions...

you should send her flowers to work with a nice thoughtful note with it =) take her to fancy dinner with a nice view =)

if you don't want to go with jewelry, i think purses/wallets (burberry or louisvuitton) are always nice or a scarf =)

p.s. she seems like a very lucky girl ;]

The Cartier bracelet is nice. Also check out David Yurman for some interesting looking stuff.

I'm a chick. A chick who loves jewelry!

I have one. It's not comfortable.

I'm useless on a car forum, but THIS subject I know a lot about, lol.
PM me if you have any questions.

Congrats on your anniversary!

Like others said, don't go all out this early in the game. Save that crap for the 10, 25, and 50 year anniversary. Don't make things unnecessarily hard on yourself.

I say take her to a nice hotel in the afternoon. Get dressed in something nice, then go to a nice restaurant. Pop a 100mg before leaving the hotel though.
