Rear tire rubbing w/ advan sport on volk te37

Rear setup: volk te37 19x10.5 et20 with yokohama advan sport 285/30/19

I have eibach spring on my e90 m3, the rear rubs on highway bump. Any advice? Isn't that true advan sport is more "sqaure" , I had 285-30-20 nitro invo before n never rubs. If this is tire issue, any recommendation?

Thanks in advance

It must be pretty close, maybe if you switch to 275.

I am running 275/30-19 Advan AD08 on Volk 19x10.5 +15 rear (+25 w/ a 10mm spacer) on H&R springs with no rub.

Sorry to hear about your rubbing issue, but doesn't surprise me...

This is a combination of the stiff square sidewall construction of your Advan Sport tires and your very aggressive wheel offset.

There are two solutions to your rubbing problem:

One solution would be to go with a more rounded sidewall tire, that tends to run narrow in the 285/30/19 size.

The other solution is to have your suspension shop increase your negative camber a little more, to avoid the tire/fender rubbing you are experiencing when the suspension compresses on the highway.

Good luck.

Look in your wheel well and let us know where it is rubbing. If it is just plastic, it may rub away after a little while. If you are rubbing on metal then you will have to get it corrected before any serious damage.

From my experience you are probably rubbing on an area where the rear bumper and the rear quarter panel meets. Take a look.

Advan Sports is one of WIDEST tires...

Even PS2 or RE050 PP are much skinner in same size.

advans usually run a little wider than they advertise.

So advan sport's 275s are comparable to other 285 tires. I would recommend getting 275s or camber MORE

10.5 +20 is really aggressive, I would say too much IMO.

I'm at 10" +20 and my wheel comes right to the fender, I rubbed with 295/30/19 AD08's with H&R springs, now I'm not rubbing on the Eibachs, but maybe that's because they haven't fully settled.

Your probably just rubbing the plastic. I wouldn't worry about it unless it is destroying the sidewall of your tire. By the way I have the same rear wheel and a 295/30/19 lowered on H&R springs and don't rub, so that Advan Sport tire must be REALLY wide in 285 form.

Yup, I dont rub, but I wanna go smaller cause I wanna b more flush. The sidewall is much more squareish then other tires.

295/30/19 on the same wheel, PS2, slight rub only with full car at highway speed dips. Mine is making contact on the edge of the inner fender against the tire sidewall. Rubbed in one outing and ever since, no more rear passengers hahaha.
