Tire Polish

I'm sure there's already a post, but I couldn't find any on the forum via my iPhone app, but anyways:

What's a good tire polish for my car? Preferably 1-3 step application but something that lasts longer than a few hours?

I assume you mean a rubber treatment for tires not polish. Meguiars has a high endurance gel that seems to last for at least a couple weeks.

ive used eagle (i think) sprays and others with the clear stuff...looks dam wet glossy and nice right after application, but when u drive off, it gets flung all over cleanly washed car.

now i use Zaino tire thing and it stays on for about 5 days but its not exactly wet glossy looking...more like a matte shine....still gets sprayed onto my car

so im wondering too, is there really a good product out there that stays shiny/glossy and wont get thrown all over the fenders?

I think Meguires is among the best too. The only other one I like is Worlds Best Wax tire dressing. Both last longest of any I,ve tried.

I use Meguiar's Hyper Dressing. Can't get retail...need to order from one of the detailing sites that are forum sponsors. You dilute it with water to the degree of glossiness you prefer (1:1 for very glossy all the way up to 4:1 for matte). I dilute mine about 3:1. If you apply thinly with a foam applicator, it will not sling. I did have it sling badly one of the first times I used it, but that was user error on my part because I applied too much. It stays looking great between washes and I've had a couple of friends and family members ask me what kind of dressing I use. It may seem expensive (I have half gallon and don't think there's a smaller bottle) but it's actually a great value considering how long the bottle will last.

I have also used Swissvax Pneu once...the matte finish version purchased from detailersdomain.com. It worked excellent and smelled great but man, that stuff truly is expensive.

i prefer to stick with the tire shine that is water based so that it doesnt sling off and get on the lower rear bumpers when driving. Only thing with the water based products is that you won't get as much gloss and shine but some people prefer the matte finish. A lot of different manufacturers carry water based tire shine

Prior to reading about Adams Super VRT, I was a Zaino Tire Dressing fan as well. Bought some Prima Nero (very nice matte finish), but does not last nor offer same protection as Zaino or Adam's VRT.

Stay clear of Armor All.

I am sold on Adams 100%:

• I get 10+ days (even in CO snow/slush)
• Has SPF40 in in (keeps tires at altitude from fading/breakdown due to UV)
• Is very water resistant (read won't wash off)
• a little goes a long way
