I was also considering replacing the thrust bearings with Bimmerworld's. Likely going with Motul 300v 15w-50.
The thrust bearings are really nice. Have had them in both cars for a while and they work great, don't make any noise and haven't required any maintenance!

I just had Vibratechnic engine mounts and it feels pretty similar to stock.
Just another option.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

+1 on BW bushings and the Vibratechnic mounts. They're both excellent.

What is the advantage of Vibratechnic mounts over OEM?

Slightly stiffer, possibly more durable, but vibratechnics is no longer selling the inside rubber so they aren’t really rebuildable.

I wanted to follow on this thread that I started a week or so ago and show some pictures. While speaking to the mechanic earlier today when I picked up the car he said the moment he pulled out the first rod bearing shell he knew it had been a really good idea to change out the bearings. As you can see...they were pretty bad. I'm glad I went ahead and had this done! Replaced with BE Bearings and BE ARP bolts.

The motor mounts were not terrible but they were about 1/2" shorter and softer than the new ones.

2009 e92M3, 52,321 miles 7,500 mile oil change intervals with 10w60, proper warm up routine during my ownership (I'm not the first owner).
