I don't want to pay 30-50 grand for a car that has the same interior as a car that's 15 grand

why is that dumb?

the 7's interior resembles the 3's interior, but it doesn't resemble/share parts with a $15K econo box (europe excluded, I know BMW is nothing special there)

The dumb thing is dropping 40 grand on a acura RDX and having the same interior as a 20 grand CRV......

I love how they mask the Honda badge on the steering wheel yet the Navigation blatantly says it.

Much improved over the last generation, I have to say

Lol...true bro, but the segment in which it competes, demands that...anyway, i agree with you...they should stick with something good and original.

I just read a review on the Accord Coupe and it sounds like it'll be a pretty nice car. The 4 cylinder coupe will have 17' rims and V6 will have 18' rims standard. That's even better than what BMW puts on theirs.

It doesn't bother me.

If a company designs and engineers different cars, there are bound to be similarities. For example, if you look at Volkswagen AG's cars, you will often find these similarities all over the place. Compare an A8 with a Flying Spur. Or a Touareg with a Cayenne. Even Lamborghini's exhibit a few instances of Volkswagen's design style.

Now, it is certainly true that there are resemblances in the design of the Acura RL and the Honda Accord. In fact, there are resemblances throughout Honda's products. However, to say that they are too similar is absurd. Take a look at the pictures:

They are both large sedans made by Honda, hence the similarities. But the interiors are not similar enough to say they are 'the same'.

On another note, your gripe is dumb, plain and simple.

Acura, Infiniti, and up until a year or two ago Lexus as well are American brands. They're not luxury cars made by a "normal car" company. They're luxury cars made by a car company.

Everywhere else in the world all the Lexus, Acura, Infiniti models are sold by Toyota, Honda, and Nissan. In the rest of the world there is no 'Acura NSX' it's a Honda NSX. There is no Infiniti G35, it's a Nissan Skyline.

They created the 'luxury' moneker because American's are obsessed with status. No one would buy a $75,000 Honda or Toyota because they associate Honda and Toyota with a lower class of cars.

You say "I don't want an RL if the Accord has the same/similar interior" It's the same company, it's like saying "I dont want a 7 series if the 3 series has the same/similar interior." Why doesn't that bother you? Because they're both BMW's?

Word to 1000000th power. This guy speaks the truth.

The sedan looks like a Saturn and the coupe looks like the Nissan Altima coupe. 1997 was the last year I liked the Accord. Now they are just like another other big American sedan.

Hmmm....so some think the interior is not original enough and some think it's sad....Anyway, I jus read an article on motortrend....it stated, the new Accord is being specified as a large sedan by the EPA. That's going to be cool....7 series space(excluding luxury) for less then 25 or 30 grand (4 or 6 cylinder)
