59k miles in mine - getting throttle solenoid replaced Monday - but cant even tell it was out (found out a week ago during routine vehicle check and never would have been able to tell had it not been diagnosed). Do have extended warranty - no idea how much would cost in terms of parts/labor. No other problems with car & still drives awesome - engine still pulls very strong with bad solenoid!!

My warranty is up in June. My car however has the extended maintenance. I think I am just gonna save for future repairs. I think a powertrain would be a waste. The platinum warranty is the only thing I would consider but it cost $$$.
For the cost of the platinum you could actually buy a decent used car! |

My car is not my daily driver. I'm the second owner, bought it at 57k miles last summer, currently has 66k miles on it. Had the throttle actuator go out on me within 2 weeks, but replaced it myself. No warranties on it.
The car is very reliable IMO, especially for an M and compared to the other turboed BMW's. I have no fear of keeping it for years (most likely decades) to come.
