recommended tire pressure for advan neova ad-08?

hey guys,

I was at the track, road course, this past weekend and was curious what tire pressure settings you use.

I have a set of advan ad08's 245/275 set up

was running roughly 37f/36r psi cold

Any suggestions?

If you run hard enough, you would have beated up the center of your tires at that PSI.
I run AD08's on my Porsche, IMO you should have kept them in 36-38 psi HOT. Once they get over 39 40 psi, they start losing grip and make you feel like driving on skateboard.

I use 28/26psi cold (runs 36/34psi hot) for AD08's. Has worked great for me for past 2 seasons. No issues and nice wear patterns

What size are you using, and are they on diferent rims than your origional?

+1 And do tell us your camber. I would destroy my front tires' outside shoulder with pressure so low. I ran my AD08s at 46-48 hot, 38 cold with -2.2d front camber last year, and tire wear was still just at the triangle markers.

The two key things you want to look at are:

1) Tire temperature across the width. If the tire is over pressurized, the center will be much hotter than the outer and inner edges.

2) Roll over on the outside edge. This can be caused both by under inflation and inadequate camber.

I just bought my second set of AD08 and I typically ran low to mid 30s psi cold.

Unless you are an accomplished driver who can discern very fine tuning adjustments, I think you will find that anything in the 36-38 range (hot) will give good results. Good enough that you can put it out of your mind and focus on other stuff.

I've used both 265/30 and 275/30 setups on a square set of 9.5" 220 rears.

-2.5 camber in front using Dinan camber plates and -2.3 rear I believe. My setups have constant temps across the tread, good wear patterns, and outside shoulder wear just takes off the tip of the wear triangle. I have yet to run across anyone tracking a M3 using hot temps as high as yours, but if it works for you, that's great.

I ran a few sessions at LVMS during m fest. I ran 32 cold and kept a consistent 38 psi hot. The tires performed much better. Thanks for the help and suggestions everyone.

I ran mine in the 265/35 and 285/30 18 sizes in Texas and Oklahoma where the track temps run in 100+ degrees pretty quickly. Cold temps are really academic-when warm my set up was happy at 38-39. I checked the sidewall wear pattern to make sure I was just getting out the wear chevrons. I have pics of them in the for sale section. If you are too low with pressure you will roll over too much and the chevrons will show abrasions, if too high it wont roll over enough and your contact size will be too small. Cold temps for me on those hot tracks were around 34-36 but it varied so much depending on when I checked them. You will need to adjust them a lot to find your sweet spot. The people at trackside performance (partner for Yokohama Tire Corporation's North American motorsport programs) told me to run them 38 hot. Seemed to work fine for me at NJMP for me.
