I'd wish they bring the C63 touring to these shores. That's definitely one AMG I'd consider. It would make my trips to the Home Depot a lot more exciting than in my old Pathfinder.

I really want to know what the rates for the C63 AMG coupes are. I'd be baffled to see the C63 AMG have better rates then the outgoing M3.

it's still not a true dual clutch like the M3, rather it's the 7 speed auto box where they have replaced the torque converter with a clutch pack. so it's sort of is a dual clutch but isn't.

the last one is a pre facelift interior, the first 2 are from the 2012 MY.
I fully agree the 2008-2011 were a plastic graveyard but the 2012, wow, just look at it. even has the leather dash on the second pic!

The interior is okay, and I don't find it to be that good looking.

I think I should be alright finance wise. The reason I am looking at the payments is that as much as I like an M3, I don't like overpaying.

My M3 has a 40K residual, now for the new 2011's they dropped it to 27K

Since the C63 has a residual of around 44K that means to get the same payments your looking at a downpayment of 17K, hence my train of thought, is the M3 worth 17K more than a C63??? plus I think the new interior with the red/black leather combo is very nice.

As much as I like the M V8, and I do think it's one of the one of the greatest engines to have been made and I'm sad to think BMW is moving away from their N/A high rev engines, I couldn't stop grinning every time I floored the demo C63.

I'll even get to drive it on the track before buying it, I was invited to the amg performance tour in palm beach where they hand you the keys to a few Amg's (sls, sls roadster, cls 63, e63 and of course the C63 in coupe and sedan form.) and then let you loose on the track. should make for an interesting day.

Anyways, money is not the factor here, it's more the fun factor not the last 10th at the track, what top gear calls the soul of the car, and when J.C. says it's an axe murderer with headlights, you can bet he's right with that one.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot to count my 2010 cooper S so I guess that makes it 5.
Well, BMW wants you to buy the car at the end of the lease or sell it at lease end. There will be equity in the M3 while the C63 you will be just walking away at the end of the lease. I like low residual leases as long as the money factory is good.

The age/lifeline of a model has a significant impact on residuals from what I've observed. No surprise an outgoing model would have lower residuals than a model that's still around a bit longer. There were excellent subvented deals on M3 cabs recently as BMW got ready to wind down the e9x M production.

Some day I might just go to one car and since I then must also satisfy the needs of my significant other it will most properly a full laded C6.3 AMG ... However, in the meantime my M3 and her full loaded C350 with AMG Package will have to do ... Mind you I have plans to test drive a C6.3 AMG soon ... once I did I'll get back to you ...

Love the interior of the C6.3 AMG very impressive, should be a shoe in for the wife

Have to agree ... +1 when Mercedes makes a BoBo they soon fix it ,,, case in point they once had the Run-Flat-Tires realized customer hated it so the discontinued it ... smart move I say

so 80K is that converted from Euros to Dollars and are you in the US or Germany ... one more point did you configure this on a German or US site?

Looking at your country of residence being Germany (German National Flag) and you are quoting in $ makes one ask those questions.

Interesting would be to know the US and German price for the same configuration of the C6.3 AMG

A fully loaded C63 AMG Coupe in the US costs $83,xxx.

Thanks, I know, his post is somewhat confusing. Here in Canada the price would be slightly over $90K (regardless if our dollar is higher then yours or not).

I do if the stuff I need can fit, but most of the time, its usually tall items that need a wide hatch opening.

I don't lease or finance anything, but if leased cars come with a 'money factory', I might change my mind . And yes, I'm sure you meant 'money factor' .

thanks for the tip and yes I knew guess you must be a teacher .... I shall make more use of it in the future

forgive spelling ... send from my iPhone

THAT is a really good alternative to the M3. Very nice interior.

Not so fond of the coupe's appearance. Think I would prefer the sedan.

You can't argue with a 40 grand versus 27 grand residual though. BMW Canada's residuals on the M3 are ridiculous. Then they turn around and..... sell the car for high 50's. And the worse part is.... people pay? Doesn't seem to be a lot of inventory for used M3's here though. Perhaps the supply and demand allows BMW Canada to do that.

If you love the way it feels on the test drive, how could you lose? You could always come back to the M3 in the next generation.

Perhaps I was a bit hostile. Explain to me if one would have 4 BMWs why you would be leasing?
Agreed that the M3 isn't a good lease. The AMG seems like they are subvening the lease, i.e. They are supporting the residual artificially to support sales of the cars. Most cars I've seen with poor residuals are not necessarily bad cars, the mfg just isn't interested or doesn't need to lose money financing them. Why do you think all the American mfgs offer 0 percent financing to sell their cars? Because nobody wants to buy them otherwise.

I know M3s have good residuals, just look at the used prices of '09s. M3s have historically, that's why I bought my third generation. Who cares about the lease residual? Leasing is mostly a waste of money.

It looks like the current Honda Accord coupe with a C63 nose, wider tires,a more aggressive stance etc.
At least you can get the Accord with a manual tranny.hahahaha!
