Whats up guys. Havent been on this thread for a while...
I couldnt b happier with the powerchip tune. After getting that second or third flash which fixed up the limiter issue I have not had any problems whatesoever. Car is running really strong nowadays... I hit that limiter every day basically lol. Prob the mod that made the most significant change on the car. Im pretty sure the mods I have all compliment it very well, But i deff love this tune.

BTW, Ive heard of an updated tune from powerchp, is this true? Does it have any significant changes?

On the Power Chip website, it states that the M3 4.0 V8 makes 555 hp stock and 593 with the gold 91 power chip. Is this a miss print or is that the number being sent to the crank and not the whp?

it's a miss print....Benvo already mentioned it a while back. I'm surprised they haven't fixed it yet.

The tune gave my car about 20whp over Stock+Akra. Torque was pretty much the same as before, not much of a change over stock+Akra. I don't have the graph but I'll get it at some point this week and I'll make a post.

He put down about 355 with a stock file and about 375 with our tune. So he gained a good amount from the exhaust itself and then more with the tune.

The dyno operator said he would email me the runfiles this weekend, that he was having problems connecting to the internet

hi, can you explain why Sport Plus is too crazy? I haven't got my M3 yet and would like to know.

Thanks

Sport plus is just too agressive for any kind of normal driving. Very small throttle inputs are interpreted as full thottle or close to full throttle. It's sort of like an on/off switch with some variation inbetween. I usuallly drive in normal mode and go to sport when I want to drive more agressively. When I had the stock tune I was usually always in sport because the factory programming lacks throttle response in normal mode.

Hope this helps,
Mike

I know this probably isn't a usual question asked about chips, but here goes...

Has anyone with the Powerchip seen a noticable increase in fuel economy from the M3's V8?

Stock for me right now, probably a little more city than hwy driving, I see roughly 17 mpg.
