What kind of loaners do they give out? 135? 335?

I go there all the time. Except for an X3 many years ago the loaners have always been 328i sedans. They have Enterprise right on the premises, they handle the loaners, your Service Advisor will give you a voucher for a 24-hour rental.

I could be wrong, but I don't think any dealer use any sports car like 135 or 335 as loaner. I've always seen 328i sedan or coupe but my friend got a 5er last time. Cause they know you'll beat the shit out of that TT. lol

Yes unless there is some odd situation with the loaner inventory. Not likely since South Bay has a lot of 328i strippers. I know the inventory manager, he ordered them.

You do need to request a loaner when you make a service appointment.

I got a Z4 loaner couple there weeks ago during the rare SoCal rainstorm. The top leaked, instrument panel stopped working and radio was either mute or full blast - all within the first 20 miles.

I took it back for 328 sedan...

OP, when are you going in to get service? I'm dropping my car off on Monday, and was told I'd be getting a loaner too.

If you ask for a 335 under the premise of you are looking to purchase one in the near future and wondering how it drives on a daily basis compared to what you now own, sometimes the sales manager is willing to fit you in one.

I just got back from the service department with an LCI E90 328i. They also had pre-LCI E90 328s, pre-LCI E90 335s, 128s, 135s, Mini Coopers, and X6s available for loan. What you get depends on availability and their willingness to oblige your requests.

The X6 is $60/day. Everything else is on the house.

Ask suavely? I don't know

I didn't see any E92 335i cars available. Just pre-LCI E90s.

Honestly, it's just a loaner that you'll drive around for 24-48 hours, so why do you care what you get? If you want to see what a 335i drives like, just ask for a test drive. If you bought your M3 from South Bay, I'm sure they'll oblige you.

...and I just had my own question answered for me. The dealer called me today to let me know that they inadvertently fried my instrument cluster while updating the car's software. The cluster is on national back-order, meaning that my car won't be ready for pickup for about two weeks, meaning that I'm driving a 328i for that long.

Good times.
