The pics make me realize a few things. The beige interior is terrible looking. Its a sports coupe and that two tone beige and black looks like ass. Next the 19" wheels are a MUST HAVE options. The 18's look very small and really are not the best design and the sidewall looks HUGE. Lastly wood is terrible on an M3. I know most people may think thats harsh but its honestly my opinion.

Have you ever seen them on a 335 or E46 M3? That particular set came off of an arctic White E46 M3 great contrast. And besides they cost as much as a honda.

i agree that its jet black, i have black sapphire and have stared at it for countless hours as i detailed it, took photos of, and so on. Black sapphire, or Jerez Black as its now called, has something about it that just sort of shines different, has a charcoal hue to it. HOWEVER, the low lighting in those pics makes it hard to tell.

Just a small detail. But from my understanding the Black Sapphire had gold specs in the paint which made it sparkle and glimmer more in the light. Jerez Black is more of a iteration of the Carbon Black color. Basically the same paint with a purple hue instead of a blue-ish.

Although, my testimony is mostly here-say. I haven't owned either color and my observation of Jerez is purely through pictorial instances.

I have seen quite a few carbon black cars. You suggest Jerez has more of purple hue to it than carbon. I have also noticed the purple hue but only in photos where it is under artificial lights. Photos in natural light make it appear to have a blue hue with no purple present. Anyone with a Jerez black car or someone who has seen Jerez in person please chime in on the differences between Jerez and Carbon.

Agreed. I am also curious about this, but there have been so many conflicting opinions--even from the owners of JB--that I have resigned to simply waiting and seeing for myself. Same goes for Fox Red...

This is incorrect. Jerez and Saphire are totally different. Saphire is a black black with metalic flek and Jerez is a very very dark blue.

Jerez is almost identical to carbon black (have owned both a Carbon black m3 and jerez m3)

I actually beleive the m3 at the begining of this post is JB on an overcast day. Mine looks this black in dark light.

Also - if was another black other than JB then it has to be an individual m3 - and who would bother to pay for indivual and not get the 19" rims?

I love the Beige/SA wood combo! First pics I've seen with this combo in an M... reinforces my decision... unfortunately, I like the extended leather with this look... guess I'm going to have to cough up the extra cash for that, too!!! now if only they'd show it with SG or SSII....

again, the wood haters come out of the.. well... woodwork. I'm glad they offer it. If I'm paying 60K for a car, I would like it to have the luxery feel of wood trim. I understand why most of you like the aluminum/black looks: it makes you feel more "performance oriented" behind the wheel. After all, it is a luxery sports car, right? some of us like the every day luxery of it, though, and intend on using the M3 as a daily driver (myself included). Don't get me wrong, I love driving in a spirited manner, but while I'm commuting to work, or running to the grocery store, I'd rather have a warm/luxerious feel to the car than the cold feel of aluminum (or the super-rice feel of the carbon stamped leather). I guess that's why I'm going with Beige, too, rather than black or grey (both dull colors in my opinion.. no warmth). Since I spend 95% of my time doing normal point A- point B driving, I'm going with a more luxerious every day feel and look. if I was only going to drive the car once or twice a month, I think grey or black with aluminum would be fine....

each to their own, eh? at least we've each got an option! now if only they'd make the E90 M3 in space grey....

Dazzler,
Thanks for the response. Just to clarify, is there any difference at all between Carbon and Jerez, and if so, what?

Space Gray huh? That's cool...I am curious as to what colors to expect here in Dallas during the first fews months after arrival. I am back and forth between AW and JB.

Thanks South, I remember seeing that. I appreciate the link . Have you seen the two colors next to each? Would you have a preference if both colors were offered?

If I could, I would remove or drastically reduce the violet from the Jerez mix.
