There are a whole ton of audio settings and I haven't really started to analyze them considering I'm perfectly happy with my Enhanced Premium Sound.

But if anyone is interested in a one-off setup with aftermarket equipment, feel free to PM or email me and I can figure it out.

In the next couple weeks I will be starting coding group buys considering the remote coding kit I put together was a great success in two States, Michigan and Florida.

If you are interested in a coding group buy in your area, please contact me. I just received the remote flashing kit back from Florida, so it is ready to go out again.

I won't have time until this weekend to PM people to gauge interest. Thank you to stega, storm3, and jcaptain for being so easy to work with and for following through with the first "test" group buy for the new remote coding laptop.

Let the remote coding begin!

A pic of the kit:

Some other cool welcome light coding I did yesterday:

Also for 2009-2012 cars, linking your iphone up completely to your iDrive and using is basically as a combox unit will be available soon!

Will you have Bluetooth coding?
Looking for something where you can use you phone's music play (I have an android phone) and have your car speakers play it.

That requires Combox and an iDrive software update. The 2011.5 cars can already do that.

Yes I perform bluetooth coding.

You will most likely need the combox as well as the programming for it to enable that.

I believe that feature is called A2DP streaming, I can enable the feature in your CIC unit but it may not work without the combox. I will try on my friends 2011 X6 within the next week and see what happens.

Yes, I just did two cars with the Recaro Pole positions and they are working great with no errors, and will full airbag functionality

Mike - do you have the capability of setting the MDM (M Button) to be automatically on when the car starts. This would be the default mode and hitting the steering wheel button would toggle it off etc... The M Dynamic Mode is great. Don't know about the other guys here, but I love the extra throttle response and drive this way almost all of the time. It's just an absolute pain the ass to always have to switch that thing on. Let me know what you think.

Funny you mention this. I believe that's coded in DME so it may be trickier, but I actually wanted to have my normal settings be Comfort EDC / Sport throttle / Normal steering (thought I'd want Sport steering before I got it but realized it's too heavy for my taste in city driving -- perfect for spirited drives though) and was always annoyed that no matter what I did the car would start up in Normal throttle and I think Normal EDC. This is sort of buried in the manual, but you can actually change the non-M Drive startup defaults. Go to the M Drive settings screen, press Options on the iDrive knob, and you'll be able to set startup EDC, Throttle, shift lights if you have DCT, and maybe even Drivelogic. It won't give you Sport Plus throttle or Sport servotronic steering (those are only for M Drive ON), and I have no idea how to do this if you don't have iDrive, but it may help somewhat you somewhat.

Yes - this is most likely a function that is located in the DME.

In the case of the E39 M5 and the E46 M3, the sport button memory was a byte in the DME that had to be changed. It's possible that in this car it could be in one of the modules. I will try to take a look over the next couple of weeks and see if I can change that. If it turns out to be in the DME, I'll have the Powerchip engineers take a look into it as well.

As far as options, the key dependant memory (not your M button settings) allows you to pick normal/comfort/sport for edc and normal/power for the throttle response. It does not allow you to choose sport plus by default, and it also doesn't let you choose any defualt traction control settings (such as MDM), or the steering stiffness setting. For me, I would like the car to turn on in MDM mode and with the steering tighter. I'll be working on how to enable this functionality in the near future when I have time to go digging through the code.

I've been meaning to update the coding list and post of videos for a while also. Sorry for the delay

Guys - Mike just did a bang up job on my 2011 M3. It makes a huuuuuuge difference. Any one of them isn't a huge difference by itself, but all them added together makes for a clean, annoyance-free driving experience. This is how BMW should have rolled it off the line. He did about 10 different coding changes and it took about a half hour. The gong is gone, the "Accept" is gone, the seatbelt warnings, speed is now accurate etc... Worth every penny. Highly recommended.

You do realize that BMW doesn't have the freedom to do so, since these are legal requirements imposed by the NHTSA, right?

Thanks Mike for coding my OEM Performance seats & OEM M3 cluster on my E90 335i !!! Amazing is all i can say! This man sure knows his stuff. I asked around for so long to get my seats coded but no luck until I found Mike@Powerchip! M3 cluster still needs some tweaks but 90% of it works on my Non-M! I am very confident that Mike will come up with 100% solution to retrofit OEM M3 cluster to non-M models. As you all know this isnt easy task, i believe only person on this board can be able to do this but he is outside of U.S. That makes Mike@Powerchip the only one who can do this. His price was fair and customer service was excellent as well! Highly highly recommend for those who needs some coding for their BMW. Thanks again Mike and see you soon for Round 2 of M3 cluster coding

Great job by Mike!

Just wanted to thank Mike and say what a great job he did on my 2011 M3 coupe. Took care of those annoying little things that make life just a little bit better, not to mention the DVD in Motion. And it was easy and efficient...laptop arrived one day, coding that night, then sent it back the next day! I highly recommend his services for anyone who wants to do some electronic tweaking to their cars.

Hi Guys I live in the uk and have a e90 which I can set up from my Idrive.

IE windows go up if you hold the lock key and will go down if you hold the unlock key.

My fog light work with main beam also I can set up preheating to come on in the cold mornings which is just bloody lovley.

I also have many option with my Idrive/stalk so maybe it just needs turning on once for all the extras to work.

Can you tell me what you mean by preheating? Is this a remote start option or how does it warm the car?

I think he's referring to the auto heater that can be set in the iDrive. There is a timer that can be set. I've never used it but I assume it's used for people that live in colder climates.

There are some remote start features in the code that I've crossed over. Haven't looked into it too much. I'm not sure how that would work without disabling EWS system. It may require some additional hardware.

Thank you Ted, buddster, and cream for your comments. I'm glad you are enjoying the unlocked functionality!!

dcan - yes and no. there are a few that are just stupid like the windshield washers not completing their cycle at turn off. also, the stopping of the window roll up when the door opens. i understand some of them for sure, but there's a few that just make sense and should still be in compliance.

I'm curious.. If I can setup a 32-bit winxp PC and the correct cable to the car, would you be able to remote-in to the PC to do the coding? I'm kind of far from you're located.

Hi everyone,

I have been out of town for the last couple of weeks, and didn't have access to a computer. For some reason my autoresponder did not set correctly.

I am behind responding to emails/PM's.. Sorry about the delay. I am working to respond back to everyone today. If you do not receive a response from me, please resend and I will get back to you quickly. Email is the best way to reach me as the board doesn't let me know that I received a PM, or that someone replied to a thread. I tried talking to Jason about it but didn't receive a response.

Stefan: To answer your question, yes, we can do that. Please contact me via email or PM to arrange.

---

The coding laptops I have been sending around have been a great success and are the perfect way to have your car coded if you do not have someone in your area to code it locally. I have two in stock at the moment, so if you're ready for some coding please don't hesitate to contact me. For quicker response you may call my cell phone listed below.

Thanks!
Benvo

Do you know if it's possible to add Bluetooth streaming to cars that have the Bluetooth option with the base (M3) stereo? Or is this a limitation of the base stereo?

Thanks
