I worry about locating holes - I'm sure there is some system to control placement and speed up assembly. That would be too good to be true if it didn't. The don't bother me as much as the roof fin (primarily because I will have no options that require it to be there).

I have the same speedo in my 335i with MPH/KPH. I had never even noticed until you guys pointed it out.

It bugs me tremendously! I am convinced that it wasn't decided on by the design team--otherwise, what did they learn in design school? It must be a marketing requirement of some sort.

AMS, I considered the M5 route but paying over 70k for an 06 non CPO car with 20k miles was not good option for me. I drove the silver gray M5 with 14k miles on it at VOB. I have had my heart set on the M3 and even though it may go for more than 70K it is everything I want.

I got my '05 911 for 66k moderately optioned in 2006 so if the 08 M3 went for MSRP south of 60k-65k; I think BMW would risk putting it too much in competition with the 997, c63, RS4's and the likes out there which would erode sales as some of the dire hard faithful will go ahead and purchase no matter what but with the cooling US economy even for those that have 10-15k does become a second choice or moment of pause more often than not.

I know the back seat issues and daily driver may be some issue for some with the 911 but at that cost it is still worth a second look as are alot of others. Hopefully BMW will price the car reasonably for the enthusiasts such as myself who are looking forward to its US arrival.

I stopped my my dealer, Passport in Marboro Heights MD and they had them. Each salesman only had one, so they didnt part with them

My dealership had no more. But when I placed my deposit my sales rep gave me his personal copy. He said his co-workers stole all the extra ones during the first day. They didn't last long.

I finally got one! A dealer a few miles from me sent me his copy. It's nice to have an actual material brochure instead of having to look at a PDF document.

Can someone verify what the base audio system is according to that brochure...any notations that might indicate the upgrade audio is available WITHOUT the Navi screen??

The base Audio system is as the brochure says:
AM/FM sterio/CD audio system with 10 speakers, Radio Data System (RDS), Auto-Store, MP3 capability and 3-channel FM diversity antenna system.

The Enhanced Premium Sound audio system with upgraded speakers must be purchased with Navigation system or Technology Package.
