Standard M3 Options we should have, but Don't.

Hello...

It bothers me when i feel that im buying a luxury sports car that doesn't have some options that i feel should be a standard option that comes with the car anyway.

So i thought of creating this thread to hear your thoughts about what should come with the car rather than having to order it as an extra option that will add extra value.

for example, I really don't know why BMW always leaves the option to us if we want an IPOD connector with our car. most cars these days come with an IPOD interface as a standard, and even if people dont have an IPOD, im sure they would end up getting one because it would be useful for them in their car.

thats just a thought...would like to see what other people over here thought about.

regards

Gino.

My e92 came with IPOD interface.

How about a HUD?

Yeah its by luck that a dealer orders a car with an IPOD interface. Unless ur placing a special order than its a different case. but i dont see an IPOD connector as something that should add value anymore to the car. same as Bluetooth.

I'd second the HUD.

~Auto Folding Mirrors should be standard...not just in Prem. Package.
~Compass in mirror (not sure why, but I love that thing)
~Has been discussed ad nauseum, but I think BMW should offer Brembo Brakes with the M's, or at least have an option for an upgrade
~Power rear-sunshade

ipod interface and folding mirror are something very minor. I don't mind if the m3 doesn't have them.

but I think m3 should come standard with recaro HUD, and bbk. I'm sure many wouldn't mind having that standard even for 3-5k more.

and the screen should come standard even without nav. infiniti does it, bmw can too. it makes the interior so much nicer with it.

I'm glad it doesn't come with folding mirrors or the sunshade as they both add weight to the car.

If someone would tick the boxes of all existing and hereby proposed extras, then the M3 would weigh another tonne...

I say BMW give us more delete options!

I agree on Brembos.

I also agree on the e90 having the carbon fiber roof.

+1

I got a stripped M3, and still wish it was lighter.

+1 Brembos & HUD

Folding mirrors is a must sometimes for countries that have a lot of traffic and sometimes while squeezing between two cars.

IMO. an M3 should come either stripped completely or should be Stuffed. this way a customer can have an M3 depending on how they plan to use it.

Imagine this...

a salesman asks "would you like the Luxury M3 or the RACE version?"
