New AZ Member - '08 e92 m3 RS46 Space Grey

Hello all,

I tried looking for the correct place to do an introduction, but didn't see any... or intros in a while, maybe they aren't done?

So I made the step up and went luxury and more rare than my past cars and got an 08 rs46 m3 with 43k on it. Holy shit do I love it. It amazes me a car 6 years old has features this thing has... shocker number one was when a damn robot arm handed me my seatbelt.

I've gone through a number of cars in my time, from a spec v, to a supercharged 350z, to an r33 skyline, and a bunch in between... I traded a turbo genesis coupe in for the m3, though before you think anything it's actually a fun car and I had swapped the turbo and most other parts with custom tunes so it was pretty quick being fairly light.

I could post pics, but being that the m3 was someone else's loved car there may be pics in here already somewhere... also I'm at work and hosting sites are blocked.

Just wanted to say hi, I've already been reading all over the site for the past 24 hours while waiting for my registration to get approved.

Is it more commonly called that? my fault! The articles and write ups I read called it rs46 and they are badged that way so I just did the same

Impressive! Makes me wonder if I shoulda bought one already done up like that (rare car though)...

Nice thing about a stroker is they've already done the (dare I mention them?) rod bearings...

Now that's an awesome car! My friend, $43k is a steal for how that car is set up, assuming everything works to spec. A proper 4.6Lmotor build is $25k alone. I'd recommend putting it on a dyno to determine whether you need to address anything tuning or maintenance related.

Fuck yeah for a 4.6L stroker that's a good price.

The 08 car itself is probably worth $36k, so you paid $7k for the stroker preassembled for you.

I thought it was, but couldn't know 100% for sure not being in the bmw world

I talked to RD and this was the last of this model they built, he knew it by description without looking it up and he said this car was their highest dyno they did with the 4.6l so that is pretty cool. It's also a bit unique because the owner picked different options for the rest of the car than the typical RS46.

Having now driven it for almost a week, I LOVVVE this car. It's such a monster and so clean.
