Maybe I'm just not doing this right...

I've only washed my car twice since I got it, and I keep having trouble with water spots!! It wasn't even a hot day or anything, but before I was even finished washing, I had water spots already. Maybe I'm taking too long to wash each part of the car, or maybe this happens to everyone, but this is kind of annoying...

Are you washing in direct sunlight? If so avoid doing so. Also, prior to drying the car off give it a final rinse.

When I wash my car I wet theentire car again after rinsing a section. I make sure the car does not dry out until I am finished. Then dry with a waffle weave or microfifer towel and you should not have any spots. Havinga good coat of wax or sealant also helps.
If you still have problems, follow with a quick detailer.

Keep it out of the sun and keep it wet. Can't always manage the sun part, but you have water . . .

remove the gun from the hose when u have completely rtinsed off all soap. then let the steady stream from the hose, flood the roof of the car, the bonnet, and the trunk lid. that should cause a sheeting action, making it less surface for u to dry.

If you are washing it outside in direct sunlight, then you might want to consider using the mr. clean auto car wash system. It filters the water. You need to periodically wet the car. Luckily, as long as I wash my cars in the morning then I have shade on the driveway from the garage.

Microfilter?

Try one on your hose.
