Never thought about this but a wrap is indeed very possible!

Thx Ray for posting.

Surprising that Edm BMW is offering a discounts. Is there a new management philosophy taking afoot?

I walked several years ago after being offered $500 off on a 2008 335xi. Haven't been back since.

GL on things there. Hope better things are to come.

Why are you dropping the X6M?

I am starting to warm to it all the time?

How is it to drive and how far away is it from the M3?

Spotted white 1M on Calg trail south yesterday 5 pm ish.

Nice car, huge rear flared wheelwells

Gotta say pretty nice considering it is all M3 parts inside

It'll be interesting on the next M3 version...

i traded in my ex-toy (2010 STI) for the acura MDX-elite and i have to say that car got everything i need for all year round including YES to a remote car starter and the room for my grocery shopping
so i dont need 3 suvs and have the right to claim for a summer fun car.

tbh i miss the m3 since day 1 i traded it to the x6m
will say tho the x6m is the monster it handles as good as the m3 with the adaptive AWD u just cant get any better on making a turn but u give up the fun of reving it pushing it and hearing it also on the x6m u dont get the DCT

still thinks a true M is N/A

Yeah I just dont go in there, its a disappointment everytime

Sad but true

With a dealership like that Bavaria will have no problems succeeding. Hard to believe Bavaria used to suck.

Maybe now they just suck less and it's the level of suckitude that we are talking about.

Shocks me every time I see someone buy a car there, were they treated well, did they get $500 of on their car and thought that was great. Did Edm BMW tell them about the rebate or just keep it to themselves.

Glad I'm done buying for a while.

I have gotten good service on the three cars I bought there....... One time I was disappointed with the service department but Shane the General Manager made it right.

I got a better deal from Edmonton BMW on my M3 than Calgary BMW offered me. Furthermore, a friend of mine that I referred to Edmonton BMW got a much better deal on his recent ED M3 purchase than Bavaria would offer. Bavaria was even going to charge him extra to set up the ED when there is no charge for the new program.

One of the main reasons that I don't like Bavaria is because they refuse to be an Individual dealer. Since they have been in the city for so long and most likely have a larger customer base in the area, there refusal to become an Individual dealer tells me they don't care about the customer. When I inquired about purchasing my car I was told by the manager at Bavaria they don't want to foot the cost involved in becoming an Individual dealer because they don't think they will sell enough Individual cars to justify it.

I understand that everyone is going to have their opinion on who is better and some people like dealing with one dealer while other people like dealing with other ones. That is why multiple dealers survive and if there was a definite best dealer out there only one would survive in an area.

You should pass along a sale contact Jamie and help everyone out and help your sales guy too.

But then again if you only get great service there and thats because you got several cars there then imagine what it like for a possible new customer.

Anyhow, glad you get good service there. I have not, on several occasions and IMOP it shouldnt take a call to the GM to fix a clearly obvious service issues there.

Did I tell you about my 3 hour oil change story? It still pisses me off.

Yeah that was the straw that broke the camels back.

On a lighter note saw another 1M yesterday, orange this time, nice car.

My car is in for service at Edmonton BMW today. It's in for a collection of minor warranty items and an oil change. The service ingress went well in spite of the fact that it's the first time the car has been to this dealer and the car's US origin.

Anyone from Edmonton planning of heading down to the Calgary meet on Sept 24? I am thinking of doing a quick day trip down that day...

How did the service go jjjheimer?

I just sent another guy to Calg BMW for almost $7k off a new 2011 335i Xdrive.

Funny, Edm BMW didnt say a thing about BMW Canada rebate or nothing.

I wonder if someday Edm BMW will think wow this is a poor market for selling BMW, nobody wants to pay MSRP?

I am sure they are nice people but when it comes to sales they are idiots.

Sorry Edm BMW guy, I've been in sales for 15 years, never seen anythng like it...

I deal with the Sales Manager directly for all of my transactions. His name is Jack Goodman. My SA was Jorge Roldan for my last two cars and he was also great although he had nothing to do with the negotiation or ordering of my two M cars, he just did the delivery on them. For Pricing I go directly to the GM, Shane Bolle..... he used to be a Sales Manager when I bought my first car from them and he pretty much handled the sale completely.

I know my approach is different than most customers but it has been good for me.

I do agree with you though, a person should be able to walk in and get good service without going directly to management like I do........ It seems like good service obviously don't happen that often at Edmonton BMW and that is unfortunate.

BTW, I saw a 1M in White last time I was in Edmonton, I too liked it!!!

Yeah my guy dealt with Jorge too but he needs to control the sale and if they do not empower the sales guys to be part of the negotiations well then people walk.

Too bad but maybe they'll clue in.

Not my problem, my company empowers me to deal directly with customers and pricing and I do what it takes to win business and try to excel at customer service.

Truthfully no sense in in opening the doors unless you pursue business some aggression.
