best product to clean Akra TI exhaust tips?

what is the best product to clean the Akra titanium exhaust tips? Akra webpage recommends this: "muffler – titanium outer sleeve: use a soft cloth sprayed with a multi-purpose spray lubricant (WD-40 or equivalent)"
any other recommendation on how to clean them?

And to add, I tried using WD-40 over the holiday and it didn't work any better on the stains.
