Do e90post have a copyright issue with edmunds?

BTW check this out

Performance Top
0 - 30 (sec): 1.5
0 - 45 (sec): 2.8
0 - 60 (sec): 4.6
0 - 75 (sec): 6.6
1/4 Mile (sec @ mph): 12.9 @ 105.3
0-60 with 1-ft Rollout (sec): 4.3
30 - 0 (ft): 29
60 - 0 (ft): 109
Braking Rating (Excellent, Good, Average, Poor or Very Poor): Excellent
Slalom (mph): 68.4
Skid Pad Lateral acceleration (g): 0.96
Handling Rating (Excellent, Good, Average, Poor or Very Poor): Excellent
Db @ Idle: 44.3
Db @ Full Throttle: 73.1
Db @ 70 mph Cruise: 62.1
Acceleration Comments: Even in default Drive without any of the performance buttons selected, the Panamera leaves with its nose pointed skyward like a drag racer. Holy guacamole! Selecting Launch Control produced too much tire spin (first rears, then fronts) in 1st gear (all the way through 1st gear) and it only found traction in 2nd. Best run was PSM off without launch control. Lightning shifts, amazingly free-revving V8. What a machine!
Handling Comments: Skid pad: A little surprised by the amount of understeer considering the well-balanced weight, but it occurs at a very high limit so it's essentially moot. Steering remains talkative and friction-free throughout. Slalom: A bit difficult to determine where the front tires are, but tremendous grip, linear turn-in and precise steering promote heroic levels of confidence. I had one run at 70 mph with a single cone strike, but the best clean run (at 68.4 mph) is still world-class for a sedan/wagon. With PSM on, it was just a tick slower, but so easy a caveman could do it.
Braking Comments: Exactly what we've come to expect from the company that tests each vehicle it produces from 90 percent top speed to 100 km/h (62 mph) ten times: zero fade, unchanging pedal or attitude -- pure excellence.

I've yet to drive one but others said it remarkable good at hiding it's weight. But for the money it's something that you really must have above all other to truly consider.

I originally had my name down for one when first details were released, back then the Porsche dealer estimated it's price to be 10% more than the equivalent Cayenne..........right.

Needless to say when official pricing was indeed released I quickly withdrew my deposit.

Great car but there is cars that are just as good for an awful lot less.

it is slower than the x6m. 0-60 in 4.3 sec. wow

for an SUV and the extra weight, it seems to worth every penny over this ugly car.

Did anybody actually read this article? It's easy to read the specs and just look at the pics. The way they describe the dynamics of this car makes me really want to test drive one.

Great driver's car, but boy is it ugly.

Can't stand the outside and that interior is hideous. The buttons on the side on the centre console remind me of reptile skin.

I don't care what anybody says, I think it looks sharp. The rear is only slightly, slightly awkward, but I don't care.

Not a fan of the interior all that much, but the performance sounds awesome.

I hate to say it but it's growing on me as well. I had thought this to be hideous aesthetically, now I'm on the fence. Seems as though it drives well, which I would imagine coming from Porsche.... but a front-engine still seems somewhat blasphemous.

+1....Dude, I have had that point since the beginning. I think the car looks nice from the front and the side but the back could have been better. I think POrsche wanted the practicality instead of the better design as it shows with a huge cargo space at the back. Not bad at all

Obviously I did(I posted it so)

I hope the PDK gets smoother in normal driving as the editor's are pointing out that it isn't.
I dont think it can be as smooth as a normal automatic gearbox with a torque convertor but it will come damn close. Maybe that's why BMW, Merc AUdi, etc aren't going with a similar setup as a PDK and instead opting for a conventional 8 Speed auto.

The car only looks awkward because Porsche insists on making every new model it produces in the image of the 911. That may well work for the front but else where it doesn't, the side still isn't that great but it's isn't nearly as bad as the rear. And looking at the Bugatti saloon it appears the same guy that penned the Panamera did it too.

I haven't driven the Panamera so can't comment of it's PDK but I have tried it in other Porsche cars and I can honestly say that it's the best DCT currently made, it shift as smooth as the M-DCT which I reckon is pretty close to a proper auto. The only area where all of them fall down a little to an proper auto is in start/stop traffic, they can't slur the clutch the same as a torque converter but it's remarkably close and miles better than SMG in all their forms could ever hope to be.
