EDC & Lowering M3...?

My E93 M3 is on its way, it has EDC....what have you guys done who have EDC and wanted to lower your M ?

Just springs or coils? If you do coils, you lose EDC, correct?

Correct! If you want to use your EDC there are a few spring kits out there that will work. I believe most of the people who have lowered their cars have just used springs so far!

I wouldn't recommend springs unless you want to wreck your EDC. There have been lots of people with M5/M6s that have ruined their EDC shocks by putting just springs in.

I had an M6 with Hartge springs only, and now my M3 E92 with Hartge, (which is H&R produced) and I have never had any issues. Just make sure you get a proper brand, and you're okay.

Hartge track tested the springs and the M3 was faster than with the oem springs. So I'd say it's an improvement.

Do you expect them to say the car is slower with their springs?

+100.

Suspension, and wheels for that matter, is the last thing that I'd play with on an M3. The BMW engineers spend all of their time on balance, suspension geometry, sprung and unsprung weight distribution, ... If you want to change the tune of the exhaust or let the engine inhale a bit better, that's one thing, but I wouldn't mess with the handling at all.
