darn it! I just called my SA to delay my order. I will be going to the Ultimate Driving Event in Fresno. July 15th to get that $1000 off. So I won't be getting my car until after

i know it took some other guy 3 days after to get his car and mine took 5 days after ship landed.

No deplays at vpc

The latest I've heard is that my car will arrive at the dealer on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Looks like most of the shipment sat on the dock for two days while the VPC focused on taking care of month-end. My car showed a port arrival on 6/29 and didn't arrive at the VPC until 7/1.

US delivery only or European delivery first?

Mine shows that it has not cleared customs..........ED

Dealer told me car is expected to be ready for pick-up on Tues or Wed. It was put on a truck last Thurs/Fri and was to arrive this weekend, and the holiday may have pushed back delivery by a day or so. This was not an ED car, but a standard US order (Priority 1). We should get our cars soon!!!

My car was a regular order (non-ED).

Due at the dealer on Tuesday or Wednesday and I'm having a serious problem trying to figure out how to pick it up. Dealer is 150 miles away and I don't think that both my wife and I will be able to break from work early enough to make the drive.

After all of this I hate for it to sit at the dealer until Saturday!!

Where did you order your car from?
I see your in Tucson so I'm guessing a dealer in my area (Phx).
I couldn't get a deal in Phx so I ordered from a dealer in Tucson and my car was also on the Morning Cedar.
I guess we will be passing on the I-10.

They were my second best deal, Chapman BMW has hosed me for the last time.
This will be our 3rd BMW and Tucson really was willing to serve so I ordered with them over the phone.

I gave up on Chapman a long time ago and have been buying from BMWNS ever since. I think that this is my 13th car from them. Even after moving out of Phoenix I keep working with them as they take really good care of me.

I'm not surprised the Tucson store gave you a good deal as the place was like a morgue the last time I was in there.

Okay. I just had me CA check with ED for an ETA. They estimated that my M3 will not be released by US Customs till July 25th!!!!!!! That is 8 weeks plus it still needs to go to the prep center and then be trucked to Portland!

I just recieve a message from my CA. I requested no front license plate. Is this true?

"Had to put a front plate on the M3 it is not a fix it ticket any longer and the dealership is bound to act in accordance with the law. You will have take it off yourself. Sorry. The ride and drive money is only for cars that were not ordered special like yours. The certificate will be denied upon funding with bmw. So you can pick up your new ride at this time"

Sounds fishy to me,

I know my dealer wants me to pick mine up ASAP.

After being released to Waggoners on Friday the car sat there until Tuesday when they finally decided to put it on a truck and ship it out.

Car arrived at the dealer this afternoon and I picked it up around 5:30! In some ways it was a bit of an anti-climax as I just picked up the 2010 M3 in March so there wasn't much of anything new.

I will say that I LOVE the car in Silverstone and I'm so happy that I gave up on Jet Black and changed colors. The car is absolutely filthy (dealer didn't touch it per my request), but it doesn't look that bad at all. Detailer is on-site tomorrow and will get everything squared away.

I should be more excited right now, but after close to 300 miles of driving today (in addition to a very hectic work day) I'm completely spent.

Nice to see that some folks have been able to take delivery!

Edit: My car has yet to show up at the dealership in Palm Springs (along with 12 others)—pretty crazy considering its barely a few hours down the freeway. The CA mentioned he had been hearing about BMW trucking delays but hadn't had any problems until now. Has anyone else heard a similar story?

Hopefully the Morning Cedar ED cars will start to clear customs by the end of next week as the Pleiades Leader ED cars are starting to clear through customs late this week. That ship arrived on 23 June (1 week) before the "Woody". Anticipation!!
