Hey guys I'm about to order 09 E90 M3 and I was planning my mods, however I'm concerned about this...

Wheels - BBS LM 20x9 et 15 front, 20x10 et 20 rear

Tires - 255x30x20 front, 285x30x20 rear <-- WILL THIS WORK??

I'm planning to get H&R sport lowering springs, and with fender roll, will my tires rub? Thanks in advance!

Nice set up ... I'm really not sure it all depends on your tire brand too (some have a more square wall)

The fronts will rub but the rears you should get away with!
I'm really not sure if you can roll the fenders on a M

I would go with 245/30 on fronts just to be on the safe side. If you go german brand tires, dont go 255/30 fronts, you'll rub on a bit for sure. I did when I had 20's.

What if you add more negative camber up front? Then can you use a 255?

I heard you don't need to fender roll
the fenders are already "rolled" to their maximum from factory

I went with 245/30 front and 285/30 rear. Haven't had them mounted yet since I'm waiting for my springs to come so I can do it all at once. Depending on the brand of tire you go with 255/30 may work up front but I didn't want to take a chance. I went with PS2's so I had to be a little more conservative.

nitto's 255 you'll be fine. Pirelli or Michelin you are looking for trouble, you can use it but will rub on turns. Done that.

you might rub. there's a member (sard) on here running 20x10et18 LM-R with 285/30/20 lowered on KW clubsports and he says there's slight rubbing when going over big dips. granted his offset is 2mm more aggressive than your setup in the rear. with that said, the invo's are suppose to be less aggressive so the 295/25 may work.

sorry to confuse you even more but i don't think you're going to find a definitive answer. there aren't many people with this setup on the m3 (i've only seen 2 other members on this forum and both of them are running less aggressive tires).

if you want more of a stretched look, go with 275/30 in the rears.

You should not rub with people in the back. For those that are saying, have you guys tried? My last rear setup was 20x10 +20 offset with 5mm spacers and Pirelli 295/25-20 and no rubbing at all. Car lowered with H&R Springs.

With 285/30/20 on a full load with eibach springs I rubbed in the rear. Only thing you need to do is cut the fender liner a bit and you are set. Mine rubbed at the top of the rear bumper where it comes out a bit. i will more than likely take a heat gun and push the plastic liner in so I don't have to cut it and keep it looking stock as possible. Mine rubbed on both rear sides. If you are by youself, you won't rub as there is no weight in the rear.

I rubbed on that same spot but only once. I thought the rear of the E90 was a little wider (5mm) than the coupe.

I thought the same thing as well. I am just going to use a dremel and cut off the little lump that is rubbing or maybe take a heat gun and take a baseball and roll it in when it is soft to make room so it doesn't rub.

How did you get rid of your issue you had? My car is aligned so I know it isn't that.

Like I said I only rubbed once there on the second day, after that no rubbing so far. I haven't done anything yet. If I notice any more rubbing I'll probably cut a little of that plastic, I mean literally it's just a very thin plastic peace.

What brand tires are you guys running? I finally mounted my tires today and I'm a little unhappy with how the 245 (PS2) fronts offer zero rim protection. The lip on the rim sticks out a little bit. Can't say I like this look. Can't decide if I should switch to a different brand wider (maybe 255) tire.
