I just popped the "fuel pump malfunction" tonight driving home. Car is a 2008.
Can someone please help me and advise if coding is needed after the EKP module is swapped? Can I just buy this and swap it in and crank her over? Thanks in advance for your help. I'm really hoping coding isn't required... Within two weeks of getting the car I've had a 300 battery swap and now this. =( |

I suspect I'm having the same issue now (08 m3) and thinking about replacing the fuel pump control unit!
Could you please help here that are you sure no dealer programming is needed? So where should I get the unit part? they are around 300$ new, or 60$ used in ebay, but I want double check that either of these part will work without taking my car to dealer. Thank you very much! |

The EKP fuel pump control modules with the green connector will work, regardless of PN. There were revisions to the part made throughout the year necessitating new PN's but they function the same for all 2008-2013 M3. They do not require coding or programming.
PN's in newest to oldest order: 16147842024, 16147841698, 16147841370, 16147840957. |
