Shifter Karts to M3

Curious to know who races shifter karts around here, and if/how it has benefitted you while tracking the ///M.

Proportion-wise, a shifterkart is equivalent to an F1 car. The reactions, speed, grip, etc.. are much faster than the slow, lazy reactions of production cars. Shifterkarts also ten to develop jerky habits, especially if not disciplined in non-shifting single-gear sprint karts. I'd suggest a TAG or Rotax single-gear sprint kart which would teach you to be much smoother with your inputs. Or save the $ and use it towards a ton of track time.

Thanks for the feedback. The lateral acceleration in the kart is what surprised me the most. I was told to expect a significant difference, but I underestimated how intense it would be... Crazy fun!

So it sounds like I shouldn't expect much to translate to from karting to tracking the M. I suppose I just need to get out in the M and see the difference for myself. I'm still hoping some learnings from karting will help my development on the track. Cheers!
