Ya, ill bring it out sometime. Just recently I was diagnosing why my fpr was bleeding off pressure at shut down, and found out that the o-ring that seals the fuel pump pickup was bad causing the internal check valve in the pump to not function. When I replaced it my afr's went almost 2 full points rich in boost, now I have to re tune the whole fuel map So it will be a bit before she is running tip top again.

yeah, rich is better for sure but I cant light off 9.X afr's at 15psi, breaks up real bad even with an ignition amp. I have a wideband, standalone and data logger so its not too bad to tune myself. The hardest part is trying not to get pulled over doing WOT 4th gear pulls with an external wastegate dumped to atmosphere, lol.

also if you want a nice open area for 4th gear WOT... lemme know. We have a few spots we used to use to test my Evo, his GSX, and his new GTR. We can get out there and have you marked off so we can see all exits and ways in dumping to atmosphere sounds scarier...

yeah, redline in 4th is right at 140. But realistically as long as I get peak torque area tuned well in 4th (5500ish) then I can get 7-8000rpm range good enough in 3rd and keep speeds down to the 110-120 range and then just hit it again on the dyno where its a little safer.

Riz, what is your budget? When you are modding dont try to afford that is out of your money range. It is just not worth it. I had VMR V710 as my first set of aftermarket wheel. Just like you, i didnt know much about wheels and just loved its design. I obviously couldnt afford 4-8K wheels. However, since it was my first set of aftermarket wheel on e90, satisfaction was great. I loved it every single day. A lot of other members run same wheels...so??? A lot of other people are driving E92 335i especially here in So. Cal. Just get what you want. Impress yourself everyday, thats all that matters really.
I then sold my VMR and got used set of Volk CE28 for great deal. CE28 is known for is light weight and strong structure. It is very vert noticible. Car accelerates faster, handles better, alsmo felt like I added some performance mod not just wheel. It was definitely worth extra money. Big brand name wheels are expensive for reason. HRE for example, they have great design and fully custom. Also very strong and light especially comp-series or R. And there are nothing wrong with stock wheels. It still has BMW all over it, not many kids can afford that. |

hate typing on iphone.
Just be patience and get what you want. If you got cash then look for HRE, DPE, Volk, Advan, ADV.1 or just roll on stock wheels for awhile until you know exactly what you want. That way you can keep save your money while just rolling on stock wheels and get something better down the road instead of making impulsive decision that will make you regret later. Your car still looks great. |

If I had $5-6k to spend, I wouldn't blow it all on wheels... especially on a stock car. They would just look out of place.
I would get some cheaper wheels, coilovers, and an exhaust, but that's just me. |
