Haha I wish. If I had the money for something like that, I'd buy a Mercedes 280sl.

I can totally see you driving one of those. My parents made a terrible decision of buying a "weekend car" a few years ago. It was a 300SL...what a nightmare

Historically, Mercedes has built some of the most reliable cars. If you've never been to a 3rd world country, you'd be surprised to find out how many people drive a Mercedes. The simplicity of the engines makes them very easy to work on.

Everything from the 1980's and earlier were built very well, but Mercedes started becoming problematic during the 1990's with the introduction of new computer systems and just an overall degradation of build quality. Since then, Mercedes has really stepped it up.

There were some awesome models during the 90's, though. For example, the 500E, was co-designed and completely hand built by Porsche:

And of course, the G-Wagen has always been and will continue to be one of the baddest Mercedes' around. They are completely hand built in Austria by another company for Mercedes:

(I really like the older 80's models)

I thank Kim Dotcom for his service to the internet, but as a person, he seems like a real bastard.

Couldn't agree more. Game changing is all I can say. So many things that he has done to his car we only dream about trying to do to ours haha.

hmmmm, must see in person before i give critique. i like the undertray but it doesn't look like it continues under the center portion of the rear bumper?

either way... big ups to Darren for always feeding his appetite to mod and be different.

Correct, it does't continue to the center. I think it looks good that way. It looks like something out of JGTC

Yup, exactly. Just when you think that he's done it all, he goes and tops himself.
