Pro: Looks nice
Pro: Lighter weight up top
Pro: Only looks good on some colors

Con: No moonroof
Con: You will never notice the difference in weight unless you're a pro driver on a track
Con: Only looks good on some colors

I have a moonroof on my coupe. I use it all the time in the summer.

If they made it for the sedan I would have gotten it.

Jet Black, Jerez and maybe IB can get away with a moonroof without it being noticeable. I'm partial to the moonroof even if it sticks out like a sore thumb.

Looks great on Silverstone. I am loving it. No cons

Not even a pro-driver will feel the weight difference.

Get it. I get more compliments on the roof than any other part of the car. "is that real carbon fiber?" etc...

Also, if you pick a lighter color like Alpine White the contrast looks fantastic. Just makes the car more unique. Unless you are just crazy about having a sun roof, get the CF roof.

Get the CF roof. As others mentioned, though, it doesn't contrast nicely with JZB and Jet Black. Even on my Space Gray, there are some lighting conditions where the roof doesn't stand out as starkly as it does on the lighter colors.

IMO its rare to be able to buy a car factory with a carbon fiber roof.

And because it looks great with body colors that will show its contrast, I chose to go with it.

Performance advantages may or may not be noticed, but it definitely looks cool to some.

Sometimes I wish I had a moonroof, but hey, this is a racecar!

From a performance standpoint, as stated, unless your a pro, the weight saving would not be noticible. So from a cosmetic/function standpoint, for me, I like having my sunroof, especially in Miami. I also like the cleaner more conservative look of the body color roof.

not many cars have it and the weave is incredible. Definetly go with the cf if its an option for you

+1, color matching and extra wind or sun. Moonroof ftw.

I love my CF roof. Just another unique quality that the normal 3 series can't tick off on the options column.
