ICC toll question

I've never travelled on the ICC and may do so for the first time this weekend.

My question: is there a way to pay the tolls with just cash? I saw tolls quoted for EZpass or video tolls, but video tolls cost 150% of toll prices.

Nope. It's all automated via EZ Pass.

But it's worth it to miss 495 traffic during rush hour... but that's if you can actually make it up 270 (northbound nightmare!) to hit the ICC.

You can get an EasyPass at Giant. I don't use toll roads often but it's been well worth it. Not having to stop or have cash is a big convenience. Plus, you never have to reload your EasyPass; it automatically charges your card when you get below a $10 balance.

Even if you run the tolls they will only charge you the amount in tolls you missed. There is no administration fee due to the fact they don't offer a booth that allows you to pay cash.

with Video tolls, there is no such thing as running tolls right? You just pay 150% of toll prices.

My girl ran all the tolls on that ICC and they sent her a bill for the total amount of the tolls she ran. No administration fee or extra charges.

right, i guess what I'm saying is, i think there's only 2 options on that road. You can pass through the EZpass gate or the video tolls gate. If you have EZpass, you'll get charged the EZpass fare, if you don't have EZpass, no matter which gate you go through, you get charged 150% of tolls. So effectively, there's no such thing as "running a toll". Everyone gets charged for using the road.

I got what your saying. Lol yes, but it definitely is a great way to go around all the traffic.

yeah, i was just hoping there was a way to just pay cash and still pay the EZpass fare.

150% of tolls is just highway robbery. Pun intended.
