Modified Challenge GTS Lip?

Did a couple of searches and couldn't find the post with the modified Challenge Carbon Lip. Anyone got a link?

What modification are you searching for? Are you looking for the brake ducted version by chance?

no, i remembered I saw a picture of a Challenge non ducted version modified for high clearance, shorter front. I just cracked mine and I want to find that post again to see if I like it. If not I might have to go with another type of lip because daily driving the Challenge is too difficult!

Shorter as in kind of like the BMW GTS lip but I like how Challenge`s extend all the way to the side of the bumper whereas the GTS doesn`t

God you and me both. I like the challenge lip because it follows the line of the OEM Bumper like the GTS, but unlike the GTS it wraps to the sides. It looked great for the two weeks I had it in one piece. I try hard as hell to be careful with it, but theres just some angles you just can't clear. I feel awful scraping a $1000 lip across the ground. A recent track off just trashed it recently. I'm looking to repair it, but it's pretty damaged and a chunk is missing. I called GTM to see if they can repair it since they should have the original molds. If not I guess I'll be going the replica route since these seem to be a consumable.

I have an idea for how to modify my Challenge lip, hope its doable! Not sure how it will translate to real life though...

You are correct. Challenge did make a lip for Fall Line Motorsports that was much shorter. The issue is that the lip was built to integrate with a Fall Line designed lower splitter. We are not sure if it Challenge will produce this piece, but an inquiry has been sent

You probably mean Mode Carbon lip. It looks like Challenge but shorter

I know but it is the closest you can get to Challenge lip. The one you saw was probably a prototype never made it to production. I have a Challenge lip on my car for about 3 years now, it did hold very well but I learned that there are places I can't go to and streets that I should be in

This is the only picture we ended up seeing of it installed with a custom spec splitter for World Challenge. We basically took off about 3/4 to 1in off the bottom edge.

We have looked at making this a "street" spoiler and from a new mold but it is not in the schedule til at least winter likely if we do it.

i'm in the same situation. Installed a GTS style lip and in 3 weeks it fracture in the middle and is totally trashed. Looking for something of higher clearance now but unsure if there is something out there that is applicable.

That lip might not be as low, but it still extends pretty far. It looks like it's still going to get in the way.

This is exactly what I am looking for. Everything with brake ducts seems like it would be too low for street. My car is DD/track car so I want something with clearance for the street and functional brake ducts for the track. If Challenge or Mode produced this they would have a buyer right here.

Anyone else know of something ducted that has a lower profile? The BMW GT4 rep stuff sticks out way too far for street use where I live.

Our company car is using our GroundZero front lip, it does have duct'd vents.
It's has good enough clearance for the up and down hills of Hong Kong. However the style might not be to your liking...

Looks great. Can you PM pricing shipped to 19123 and also I'd like to see a photo of it off the car. Are the ducts functional? I.E. is there anything on the inside to clamp a hose onto?

Yup it is functional, there is a tube molded with the vents so that air can pass through it. It's very similar to the Challenge, just not as long. So some easy/small DIY might be needed to be done to connect it.
