had to cancel my order for my dream car. Have to use the money I had saved up for the deposit for when my job is gone. It just plan sucks. I now see that my car is awaiting transport. Dam.

Sorry to hear that. If there's a silver lining, it's that you didn't buy the car then lose your job, otherwise you'd be really screwed.

man oh man. trust me man, I had to walk away from a deal due to sour economy. I am a newly graduated nurse and can't find a job. They all need experienced nurses.

Dam I thought nursing was in a HUGE shortage right now?

Well the construction industry is averaging over 25% unemployment. I have a job till 12/31 then I'm done. I guess I should consider myself lucky. I just had no idea it would take me this long.

Good thing I was able to set aside a nice chunk of change to fall back on. But I will get my car someday. Who knows maybe something will come through quickly and I can still get this one. If not then something in the spring for sure! Thanks for all the well wishes!

You're in the wrong state. Ca is going down the hole in a blaze of glory. NY is getting rid of the experienced nurses (retirees) in favor of the newer, younger (cheaper) recent grads.

I know. I have a friend that is a P.T. In Houston. she tells me plenty of jobs in TEXAS. My cousin's brother in law, a doctor, moved to Houston to get a job. Got it in a snap. I know California is ... in a deep deep deep trouble.

^^^ state funded hospitals are getting the shaft due to the massive debt in California. Layoffs are rampant like an STD in the Jersey Shore / Hollywood Blvd. Most private hospitals are on a hiring freeze and are even cutting down on nurses hours just to stay afloat. Shit my cousin got an I.O.U. for his tax refund last year.

NY private hospitals are doing fine though, which I don't understand but am glad cuz they're helping me pay for my car.
