Goodness. Its all 11th hour isn't it? A couple of days left before Week 10 production begins, and none of us know if its *actually* going to happen !!!

What sucks is I will be out of the area Friday and Monday so it won't be until Tuesday before I find out if it is indeed being built or delayed.

I placed an order in '06, is there a delay if you placed an order this early?

I doubt you placed a order in 2006, you mean placed your deposit correct?

When you place your order you should get a production number, when did you get your production number? It looks like the majority of the M-DCT orders here were in January, im not sure if it depends when you placed it but i guess the earlier the better.

Why? Can't you use the 800 number to find out?

It seems like all orders for M-DCT outside the U.S.A. is getting pushed back, while U.S. orders are getting bumped up.

I see, i have come to my own conclusion that U.S. M-DCT orders placed in January will not be delayed and will be the first to be debuted.

My car with DCT and 19s continues to show week 13 build. Although I am still waiting for concrete clarification from my dealer that those options are included since NEITHER the OC website NOR the 800 number folks can verify this important detail.

They can only see purchases made from US dealers in the States. She sure did have a sweet voice though...

Yesterday i received a message from my dealer:

Quote:
Geachte BMW Partner,

Translated: Problems with capacity ! Adding option code 2MK - M DKG transmission means max. 3 months delay in production. Reason: capacity problems supplier
