it was already dead

I ran over a skunk carcass because the road was poorly lit, and 3 months later, on humid nights it still smells like skunk in the garage.
$1800 in damages because the cable for power steering has been damaged.. -$500 in deductibles for me
lol i might be crazy but sometimes when you smell a dead skunk while driving it kinda smells like starbucks

i had a friend total his 330i after running over a deer carcass with one of the front wheels. the car jumped in the air and nose dove straight into the ground.

"It would've been a hard winter if I hadn't ran over that deer in my M3."

Sorry to hear about that, could have been much worse though. The exact same thing happened to me - four days after I got my car back in July. Only $230 of damage though.
Off topic, but after I hit the deer I used BMW Assist to send a tow truck driver out because the air dam was broken. He managed to hold it up with some wire so I could drive the car, but The tow truck bill was $260. If I had called AAA it would have been free. Lesson learned.
