Portland Get together/Meets Thread

Since the OEM exhaust thread evolved into a meet up thread, figured it would just be easier to have a meet up/get together thread.

I'm very interested, just looking for more info.

I'm interested in the vintage thing as well.

I've been seeing M3s like crazy during this nice weather. Just today I spotted a limerock, a black e92, and a white e92.

Not in for the 11th but would be great to hit a meetup soon.

If you see a JB e90 with Vossen CV3's wandering around, that's me. Hopefully I'm not driving too terribly.

Contemplating a variety of mods since I picked her up at Freeman's. Would be great to see what other locals have done.

Looks like the vintage meet on Saturday (11th) is from 8:30-10:00 at Starbucks off Kruse Way. I'll post up the address a little later. Its pretty close to the Tigard C&C. I suppose we could meet up at Best Buy again.

I'm in to meet up at the Best Buy, then cruise to the vintage meet and possibly C&C afterwards depending how long the vintage meet goes.

Lets do it. Best buy off 217 at 8:30. Then we can cruise to the vintage C&C meet and the normal C&C time permitting. They are very close to each other.

I know not everyone responds to these threads. But hopefully we get a good sized group to show up.

The vintage guys are so weird.......why not just meet with the other car guys at cars and coffee. It is like they only appreciate old BMWs and have an aversion to anything else. Wait until you meet them and you will find out. I might swing by c&c but you will have to excuse the two Recaro seats..........kids seats that is

I'd go to gawk at their cars. Them checking ours out isn't a big deal to me. I doubt we'll be there too long if its too awkward. I'm sure we'll be heading over to the other C&C.

Prime you should meet us at Best Buy. We won't stay long at the vintage meet as Puki said. Then we can all cruise over to the normal C&C.

More the merrier.

I should bring the e46 M3 race/track car........though it is not really street legal. It would get a lot more attention plus be the fastest car around a track.

I would have to load it into the trailer, unload, load, unload. The front lip scapes everytime in or out even with race ramps. If interested I could just set up a time to meet you so that you could take a look.

Hay! I have gotten swamped over the past couple days. Great job sharing the info. While it is true that the vintage guys are definitely die-hards, I'm sure us rolling in together, nicely, and parking in a group out of the center would be welcomed. Even more so if you all had an interest in joining the CCA

I'll meet you all at Best Buy tomorrow. Perchance does anyone have a jumper? My car started harassing me about increased battery discharge, so I may be stranded come tomorrow morning, haha.

Prime, as in Prime Roofing? If your E46 racecar is the one I got the privilege of riding in with Eddie, I owe you a sincere thank you, as I am sadly aware of my inability to ever drive to a level of that ability. That car is unreservedly nuts.

Here is a breakdown (albeit late) of the plan as I see it:

11 May C&C Extraordinare!!
08:30 @ Beaverton Best Buy
8905 SW Cascade Avenue
Beaverton, Oregon
Quick meet & greet, Kyle shows off his entry to the OE exhaust modification, brag about deferred maintenance, etc.

09:00 Depart to BMW Oregon CCA Vintage SIG Cars & Coffee
8 Centerpointe Drive
Lake Oswego, Oregon
Cruise in together, calmly (as not to provoke the beast), park as a group, ideally not taking attention away from the stars, learn about the Oregon CCA chapter, and most importantly catch some amazing vintage BMWs.

09:30 - 09:45 Depart to PDX (Tigard) Cars & Coffee at Portland Tigard Starbucks
15350 SW Sequoia Parkway
Portland, Oregon
Cruise in together, like big pimps naturally. Make friends, binge on more caffeine, depart.

Kyle, feel welcome to edit as you see fit, Mr. Organizer

Hey Prime, it's Ben - the guy you chatted with late at the recent meeting at Eddie's showcasing your race build. Just got back from Germany and the car was outstanding. Nurburgring was insane. Can't wait for it to get here!
