Very unhappy with angelibrights

Bought some from eas after the lux h8 recall. First the relay they provided was Bo. Then once I got them working I had to take a double take in the daylight to see if they were on. The lux's were a lot brighter. Bummed.

That sucks! Should've kept your LUX. Mine look great and are bright during the daylight.

I installed them on my wife's X5 and they are horrible I find. Next to impossible to see in the sun.

Plenty of threads out there about AiBs problems.

I'm on set 4, been replaced by EAS. Although now I have to keep mine outside the housing so it doesn't overheat. If I could do it again, I would never buy the AiBs.

That's why I'm hesitant to even give these angle eye kits a try. :-/

You can always get another set of the LUX H8's too... they are back up for sale, now that everything has been fixed with them.

Yes, you are correct Tom. Getting these fixed hasn't been a priority for me, and EAS can't fix what they're not aware of .

With that said, I'm excited to get these fixed on Monday. Thanks for getting this worked out for me.

I had my AiB on for about 1 week and I'm satisfied with the looks. About the same brightness as stock but a nicer cool white. I hope I don't have problems, time will tell...

You should give the HID Angel Eyes a try, cheaper and brighter, and we are offering free installs for locals. I'll pop them in, if you do not like them, I'll take them out, no pressure to buy

Jesus, with all the problems and unhappy people that have AiB's, LUX recalls, HID lights bleeding into the inner ring I'm starting to think that it's not looking good for an all-around, solid non-yellow Angel Eye solution.

I mean, is it really that difficult to engineer a non-yellow angel eye kit that

1) Is under $400
2) Disperses light evenly (or as evenly as possible without too much inner-ring bleed)
3) Doesn't heat up
4) Plug-n-play for the most part
5) Looks great day/night

I mean, come on...

My guess is that there is not much profit to be had having a engineer spend his time on designing these angel eye upgrades.

for your #3 Doesnt Heat Up - there is nothing that doesnt heat up when it created light.

What your asking for simply isnt possible. LED's create heat, but besides for that they cover all the other things you want.

Also, if you have any ideas on how to make a better angel eye, please let me know and i will do everything i can to make it possible!

The reason why anyone has ever had problems with the angel eyes isn't because of bad engineering or anything. The electrical system that BMW us using for the angel eyes is just strange, and that is the reason.

We've already requested this on his other thread last week.

The customer needs to make the next move (either shipping them back or dropping by in person) so we can refund him.

Also include:

6) Completely installed within headlamp housing, no external wiring present

AiB exceeds all of these requirements and properly disperses light between both rings, with efficient heatsinks.
