Dubbed Up and Dropped Down..Iforged and H&R
Hey fellas, this is my first post here, but I have been lurking the site for a while now. I've had my car since March of this year. It's a IB 6speed fully loaded. My family lives in Los Angeles and that's traditionally where I take my car to go get it "pimped out" haha. Just an excuse to go on vacation and also my brothers SC G35 was supposed to be ready out of the body shop this week so we could have a photoshooot. Long story but anyways I got mine ready and his will be ready next week. Big props to Vince at Iforged for making some amazing wheels and getting them to me in less than 6 weeks.
Here are some pictures of my car. I hope you guys like it. I got the IB side markers comming in and I was supposed to get the Remus exhaust a month ago but the company I bought it from was extremely shady and I canceled my order. Black kidneys, H&R sport springs, and 20" iforged wheels on my trip to L.A. Not a bad trip This is my 3rd M3 is 10 years. I had a 98 E36 Estroil Blue M3, an 02 TI M3, and now this. Here is a picture of my other brothers 05 E46. He lives in here with me but he also went down to L.A for the make over. That's his third m3 as well. It's 3 years old now, but he had the e36 and this is his second e46 And this is my old beast. |

The car just got dropped, so the springs still need to settle. Aside from that I had a set of nitto's nivo's or whatever they are and the 35/30 sidewalls were HUGE! When I installed them the tires ended up just sitting on my fender walls. I ended up getting FK452's 30 up front and 25 in the rear and it looks like I could of went 35 up front and 30 in the rear.. Whatever for my next tires I will.. Those Nitto's were something else though.. |

I would have thought that 20inch wheels would look to big, but they work well with your car. Could you provide the specs on the wheels and tires? Also, will lowering springs cause any problems with the M3's adjustable suspension?

The 20's fit perfect. In my opinion if your going to get after market rims for the street you might as well do it right. 19's just aren't doing it for me anymore.. just my .02. I'm keeping my factory 19's anyways.
I don't know the offset of the wheels but I believe I got 20x9 up front and 20x11 in the back. I got 245/30's up front and 285/25 in the rear. We had a problem fitting the 255/35/20's up front and even the 285/30's in the rear.. they were the nitto nivo's or w/e they are. The sidewalls on those things are HUGE. I basically had to buy brand new tires from tire pros because they couldn't fit and now I'm stuck selling a brand new set of nitto's. The guy are tire pros kept telling me I had to get 30's up front and 25's in the back, however I do believe it all depends on the brand. Michellin for example have larger sidewalls in their series than lets say toyo. In my FK452's I could have gotten 245/35's and 285/30's in the rear w/ no problem. Next time I will get these sizes. And it looks like I can fit a even wider tire in the rear like a 295 or possibly a 305. My next mods are the get my painted turn signals!! and also an exhaust unit and possibly a front lip and rear diffuser. Thanks for the love guys |
