From E92 to XKR to maybe GTR.... Thoughts?

I had a 2011 MR E92 traded in for the luxury and HP/torque of the Jag but I miss the driving dynamics of the M. I like the exclusivity of the Jag but I am thinking about trading it for a new GTR. What do you guys think?

So the XKR does not drive as good as M3, I take it from you.

Because I was trying to get into an XFR, see a recent thread about it. Now I am very advanced with an RS5 purchase.

An AMG would just be as boring as the XKR. All HP and torque...

I for one like the GTR. Have you even driven a C63 before dismissing it as all HP and Torque only? You know it runs pretty close with the M3 on a track, right?

It has been my observation that the good majority of people on this forum move on to one of two vehicles: a GT-R or a Porsche.

Already have an MB E and a GL... No need for a C63.

Yeah, that's kinda where I am... GTR or P GT3. I wish the 991 GT3 or Turbo S was already out and available.

Gtr for me, i sold my e92 m3 to my little sister and she is enjoying it now. Gtr has a very stiff ride but it more than makes it up in pure performance.

Thanks for your comments. I checked out a GTR forum and most folks to make the move either love it or hate it (mostly due to hard ride)... Ones who hate it daily drive it, the ones who love it, second or third car which It'll be for me. So really thinking about it.

I think everyone who drives a GT-R and thinks its a hard ride is just spoiled with luxury cars, probably old, and never rallied a car in there entire life. GT-R is plenty comfortable, I have driven cars that truely feel like there is no suspension and that the car is on rods, even then I daily drove it. Did it suck? Yes. Was it worth it? Absolutely.

If you are in your 30s and driven your fairshare of sports car, the GT-R will not be harsh. If you are in your 20s complaining about the GT-R in any way you are just spoiled lol.

I ended up test driving a c4s today and what a great handling car... It's leaps ahead from my ex-M, power was ok, could use more. But what a drivers car!

I hope to test out a gtr next week and check out what it's all about.

I hear you... The next generation will hopefully get a nice exterior/interior revamp and I'm sure more new technology. There was another thread of the new render and it looks bad ass.

Have you considered a used R8 V10? A couple of fellow R8 buddies own both the GTR and a V10 R8. Both of them much prefer the R8, its just more expensive when considering it

My OCD has me buying new but yes, I'd love the R8 V10 with the new dual clutch. A lot of $$$ and gorgeous!

Surpass your OCD and just do it you won't regret it. Oh and you'll never look back. I made the switch and this thing aint going anywhere. If i get anything else it will be an addition, not as a replacement. We're actually eyeing the new Cayman S as a fun car, for my fiance that is (so she thinks) lol
