I have a 2009 E93 335i and I installed the v2. My lights work fine when adjusting the RPM, but do not light up when outside of the settings menu(With the screen activated). I'm wired to the CAS for power, pin 1 and pin 12. I also had a heated steering wheel, if that makes a difference.

My v2 DCT shift lights have worked flawlessly. My power source is the JBE plug, pins 3 (power) and 6 (ground). Make sure to unplug the JBE plug, and plug it back in.

are you in sport or race mode? you need to be in one of those modes.

No issues after I used the jbe plug as a source. I originally used the cigarette lighter and it would not save the settings.

ended up installing an on/off switch so i can flip it prior to starting the car for shift light functionality while retaining memory settings. it's a band-aid solution but it will do - takes literally 2 seconds to flip the switch and i won't use it that often.

Just another update. Oddly enough I only had to use the switch once and ever since then the wheel has registered the rpms and shifts lights have worked for a week straight.

Any issues since August? I'm trying to decide if I should go with the V2 wheel or just get a regular Alcantara wheel with no electronics.

i have to use the switch pretty often to get the shift lights to work. at least it retains the memory function so it doesn't really bother me. i still love the v2 over the regular alcantara wheel, the regular one was too thin and too light for my liking.

installing my v2 wheel today.

bmw instructions say to tap the CAS module. the forums say to tap the JBE module. im more interested in retaining settings vs shift lights working 100% of the time.

what should i tap for the power/ground(A1,A2)? which module and which number PIN?

I have a 2013 so the JBE harness is the newer green/blue plastic color vs the black like in the pictures i see around.

I appreciate the feedback very much, I went ahead with the regular alcantara wheel for now. Once i get the other issues on my M3 sorted (wheel/tire fitment, smog cert, re-setting up the Awron gauge...) I will take another look because I would still love a V2.

I just installed mine on my 2012 and I used the one labeled PSW v2. I found both of these and they both instruct to use different places. When I bought my PSW v2 from Tischer over Thanksgiving, there were no instructions included. So far I am able to retain both settings and my shift lights works.

I don't know which one goes to what wheel but the one i used for my car was PSW v2 which i've labeled myself.

Hope this helps.

I'm guessing yours is working because you have a manual.

could you elaborate on this, i've also ready from another source mentioning the same thing. so when inside the settings menu, everything works perfectly?
