Well, is there a problem if you don't press the clutch all the way down and shift gears over time? It sounds like what this clutch pedal stopper would do anyway...

The assumption under which we operate when installing these clutch stops is that from the factory the clutch pedal is designed with a unnecessary amount of travel, for safety reasons. Think of it as a dead zone that is there after you depress the clutch a certain amount.

By installing the clutch stop, you're simply removing that unnecessary safety buffer. Whether or not this specific clutch stop has had a lot of research put into it, I don't know. I'm just speaking generically.

But it sure as hell feels really nice.

Only complaint that I had was that the "speed nut" that I got was different than the ones pictured in the guide, and was a real bitch to put in. That, and I have fat hands.

I'll drive further than just a block later, and give a more final verdict once I do.

Yeah, hopefully that the assumption is right cause we don't want to screw up our tranny. I am thinking about getting one too. I do feel that the clutch is deep at times.

Just put mine on. Great service from Derrick. Parts arrived in a few days via first class mail. It only took 10 min to install so it was as simple as noted.
It works very well. 6MT's should come like this really. It took such a good amount of the clutch stroke out at the bottom, I almost stalled coming out of my garage.
After a quick drive around, got used to it and no more riding the clutch coming off a signal in the lower gears when driving fast.

just got mine in and installed it in just a few minutes....initially when I saw the part, I thought that I had paid way too much for a $3 dollar piece of rubber and mount....but it was an easy and solid install and the clutch travel is perfect...what a great mod...it's definitely worth the price for a hassle free upgrade. The clutch travel is perfect and the stop is solid...feels quicker and more natural....

I put this in a couple of weeks ago. I immediately loved it. Gear changes are easier to time and can be achieved faster and cleaner...especially when heel-toe double clutching. You can punch the clutch without your foot disappearing!

Just placed an order. The clutch travel is just way too long on this car. I sit alot closer just so I can make sure I can fully depress the clutch, hopefully this will fix that.

Have fun! I placed my order more than two weeks ago now and it still isn't here. Apparently it takes a lot longer to get to Canada.

It's a $25 piece of rubber that customs is probably xraying right now

Okay. I think this thing is designed for short people...
I have a feeling that this mod will wear out your clutch faster but I ordered one anyway. I want to see what's the fuss is about.

lol I don't know. I was being sarcastic in a way because it's thicker than the oem...
Imagine you shift gear without fully releasing the clutch or engaging it without fully releasing the clutch.
