Make OEM Exhaust Mod a Little Louder?

I've been extremely happy with the 2 perpetrated pipe mod where you cut off two of the four pipes and weld two new pipes in the existing muffler.

There's no drone at all which is what I love, but I'm looking to maybe find something I can add to make it sound louder but with little to no drone.

Car is stock so far with only the exhaust mod done to it (as far as I know from the previous owner lol).

Thoughts??? Thanks!

I would assume a test pipe would do it

Test pipe and/or test pipe will help. You can also add some cut off valves if you want to go crazy

Perfect I'll look into it. And there's basically no drone that's noticeable, correct?

That's really my main concern.

Yeah Periokid's method was used and done at a shop. I was thinking of just having them cut it open again and cover up the other two pipes. But I heard this makes it too raspy. Is that true?

I went from a cat back system which was loud and droned to the OEM Mod. I went with replacing all 4 perforated pipes with new non-perf pipes. To me the note is perfect. Has a little rumble to it, NO DRONE, freeway cruising is nice, and when you start adding throttle, it gets louder and louder. I have not heard only the two pipe mod but if you want more mote, you should look into replacing the other two pipes..... Cause mine if loud enough IMO....

If you're okay with a little drone, definitely go with the ACM mod. I've heard the original mod and the ACM side by side and the ACM is noticeably louder and more agressive. Also the drone is very manageable as long as you watch what gear you're in/rpm you're cruising in.

Alright that's what I'll probably be going with. Will it be a worthy / that noticeable change from the 2 pipe to 4 pipe replacement?

My buddy did the 2 pipe mod after I did the 4. We put them side by side and you can def tell the difference. But the difference will not be like the 4 pipes to the ACM mod...... So if your expecting a big change, don't look for it out of the 4 pipe mod and should prob do the ACM mod, but if your looking for a slight increase, go with the 4.....

Ahh I see. Thanks a lot for telling me. What's the difference between doing it the ACM way and the regular way? Also is there a tutorial? I searched and can't find it. And I can't have them do it because I live in Florida

Just search ACM mod and a bunch pop up. Basically, instead of cutting open the middle to get to the 4 perforated pipes, they open the two outer chambers and bypass the entire middle portion. Ends up being straight through pipes.....

This is a link to hear the sound of it.

I didn't want to do it cause of the drone.... That's why I switched from my previous exhaust..

Isn't the 4 pipe mod essentially the same as ACM mod? The pipes are just slightly longer when you swap the 4 pipes. Why would ACM be that much louder?

Also, any difference in drone with the 4 pipe vs 2 pipe method?

Thanks

No, its still different even though your replacing the 4 perf pipes. Even after replacing the 4 perf pipes, the exhaust tubes still has two almost 90 degree bends in the design. These bends quiet the sound and add several feet of tubing that the exhaust has to flow through. The ACM version, deletes the bends and creates a straight through design and minimizing the distance the exhaust has to travel through along with no bends in the design....

Click the link below and read that post. It also has some really good pics.....

Video?
I'm about to do the 2 pipe mod and I'm interested to hear the difference between the 2 and 4 pipe mod
