Mustang Gt350

Whatever Ford will decide to call this beast, Its rumored to be powered by a S550 engine and have around 550 horsepower. Also its rumored to rev to around 8,000 which is damn sexy. Just felt like sharing this since I've been on the internet just looking at random things.

I just hope those are not the real wheels. Otherwise I like it.

The front is a little overdone for my tastes, but it'll probably be on the list as a possible M3 replacement.

Definite M3 replacement vehicle. However, with it having a flat plane crank, I'd be curious how they held up to normal use after a year or so.

“S550” is a platform like e92 per example not an engine.

You mean to tell me that a Mercedes engine won't be powering the new Mustang? I'd love an S550 Bi-turbo V8 in one of these things!

Of course it would end up costing 100 grand, and break all the time, but who cares!?

That thing is gonna be a BAD ASS RIDE especially coupled with that new rear end. Unfortunately Ford followed BMW's corporate strategy in addressing weight by being disingenuous. At least the F8x M3/4 lost a FEW pounds...I don't think the Mustang lost ANY.

But I'm sure Ford will be more upfront with that. BMW claimed to have lost a lot of weight going from the E9X to the F8X when in reality, it was much, much less.

I'm not so sure. Ford is being pretty evasive about the subject. We'll see. I actually like the way the new Mustang looks. It'll be a shame if it's a pig. I'm REALLY rooting for the Americans to make great cars again. The C7 started it off now lets see where it goes...

I actually like the interior, and the exterior from all angles expect from the front. It still has to grow on me, perhaps the GT500 will look a lot better. it seems that America cars have become really appealing over the years. Although i still like the idea of BMW M cars or AMG cars for being more rare cars on the road. i am simply not liking the new european engines.

It should have a much better weight distribution and the front suspension has a dual balljoint LCA like the E9X & F8X cars and the integral link rear suspension has been used on 5-series cars for decades.

I think this GT350 has the potential to undercut the C7 slightly from a pricing perspective. Maybe $5k or so. Hell that new Challenger Hellcat starts at $60k and it can't even turn. It's 4300lbs and I don't need 707hp. I had a hard time using the 414hp I had LOL. If Ford can price the GT350 at about $48k they have a bonafide winner. Especially if it's pushing 450hp give or take. The GT500 just doesn't appeal to me for the same reasons the Hellcat doesn't. Too much power, too much weight. I also have no desire to be supercharged or turbocharged. Ford has already gone on record saying(obviously) the GT500 will be supercharged again...and you can bet they're gonna try and match Dodge's output at least. SMH

I don't think the GT350 will be in the 40's since a fully optioned GT is in the 40's. But if the rumors of mid 500's is true, then it could very well be a much faster car on track than a C7 (which is extremely impressive in its own right).

I just priced a 2015 Mustang GT Fastback PREMIUM 6mt with no other options and it was $36,100. There is a lot of room there. Actually a bargain. We'll see.

Ya i feel you. I was talking to a friend of a friend who bought a 2014 GT500. He last two cars he owned were both E60 M6. He actually wants to sell his GT500 and get back into a M6 v10. lol

says the car cant grip, and doesn't feel as good overall. But i will say the car looks and sounds amazing to my eyes/hears. worlds better than a BOSS 302 or GT.

I recently posted a GT350 thread, so you know i have interest in this car. I would rather have a more balanced car with the "right" amount of power. i just love the looks and sound of that GT500 haha

I think if this GT350 does indeed have a Flat-Plane crank as rumored, you and a whole clan of us might be over at Ford my friend. WHATEVER is under the hood of that thing is unique and special from what I'm hearing from those vids. THAT'S FOR CERTAIN!
...and that's what I'm loving about the Americans right now, reinventing themselves. Even the Challenger Hellcat...

You should be excited. Other than this emphasis on fuel economy this is a GREAT time to be an enthusiast!
