Get M3 with G-Power Supercharger , Vette can go shit bricks.

17,000$ for STG3 @ (Supercharger System SK II CLUBSPORT ) 594hp.

With Akrapovic Exhaust and Michelin Sportcup Semislick tires. You'll get approx 20mpg from non-supercharged 22.4mpg

Both cars can be modded and the vette for much less.

+10000000

A modded GS will rape a supercharged M3 for much less.

It's comments like this where the fanbois really shine.

If you want to talk crap like this, compare a Z06 with mods for still less money that will push 700 hp and leave the M3 in it's wake. The M3 is a great car, but lets not pretend that it's something it's not.

As a young single guy, you'll probably be fine with either and it gives you an excuse to not have to drive 3 of your friends anywhere. Park you're vette and jump in their car.

As a daily driver, the M3 is more practical but less stunning in styling than the vette. Tough decision for you indeed.

For me, little choice. Needed a back seat and 4 doors for a baby seat.
Agreed that the M is more useful on a daily basis. But I'm not missing the backseats yet. I'm still in the honeymoon period but I gotta say I'm not even thinking about the M right now.

I picked up my GS 2 days ago and the very first thing I noticed is the amount of attention it draws. Everyone seems to know what it is, left lane hogs move over immediately, people giving me thumbs up. Its very nice, might get annoying down the road. I NEVER got any of this with my PY M3.

Meh both cars are fast enough stock. I don't plan on doing any performance mods...yet.

oh my oh my...

What's your point? A highly modified M3 vs stock GS Vette? FYI, you can buy a 700hp Lingenfelter kit for a fraction of the total cost of that overpriced supercharger kit for the M3.

You should know better, there's lots of Vettes in Slovakia

Or you can spend $6500 to SC the GS and have 560-580 whp all day long and still get 28 mpg. So what's your point.

Are you serious? You base the validity of your purchase on whether or not other people give you a thumbs up?

That's quite sad.

Could that have to do with the Corvette factory and museum being in Bowling Green?

What REALLY blows my mind is the amount of Vette owners that post on the M3 boards...
I honestly dont know a single link to a Chevy or Vette board and even if i did i wouldnt troll it to counter peeps talking smack about M3s lol!

But if your gonna compare then compare fairly across the board, what i mean is that if your a fan of the vette be it the GS or a z06 your "leg up" on the M3is really HP and torque. Hooray there are plently of cars +/- 10k price point that are faster than the M3 stock. People who bought an M3 to drag race Vettes/GT-Rs/Amgs really should have done thier homework better as thats really not what the car is about. Our "leg up" is interior and ride quality & practicality in that a M3 does everything well while the other cars do certain things great.

Look i truly respect Z06 vettes i think they are amazing bang for the buck performance cars and i personally love thier exterior styling, when i was looking at a new car back in 08 i REALLY wanted to love the Z06!

What kept me from buying a z06 was the fact that this car was a DD for me and the ride/interior quality just wasnt there for me.
Say all you want about how the vettes interior is better now but if you try to tell me that steering wheel wasnt taken out of a frikin Saturn or a Cobalt your lying to me and yourself and dont even get me started on the "genuine imitation plastic carbon fibre crap" at $80k that was just insulting!

We all have our own reasons for buying the car we did so wether you chose the M3 or the Vette enjoy your vehicle because you did something 90% of the population didnt do and thats you chose to NOT buy a Camry or Accord or SUV!

I don't have to justify or 'validate' my purchase. I know what I'm doing. I'm simply pointing out what I observed on my drive back.

By posting your observations you validated your purchase to us. Who knew you could actually learn something on m3post?

^^^^^^ you should change your screen name to Ih8. It's called an observation not a validation. Give it a break man. He chose the GS; you like your M3. He thinks the Vette turns more heads (and I agree); you probably think the M3 turns more heads. All that matters is what turns the owner's head.

I don't even care why he chose the GS. I pointed out the fact that he likes the attention that he gets from it, which is by the way validating his purchase. As far as what I think with the M3, I like that it is understated and I don't try to get attention with it. But I also use both lobes so that's where we may differ...

No, really, you do care..otherwise you wouldn't have made the comment in the first place. Even with you using both lobes and all, I still don't think you grasp what validation means. If the "thumbs up" "headturning" were reasons why he considered purchasing the GS in the first place, then yes, it would be a validation. In this case it is merely an observation that was made after the purchase and was not a determining factor in the purchase process....sort of like an "icing on the cake" type of thing. There is a big difference in the two. But you keep using both your lobes and think differently to make you feel better if that's what it takes to get you through the night.
