Who's opened up their headlights?

I want to take apart my headlights and black out the internals. I read the DIY for angel eyes and it seems fairly straight forward. I was just planning on painting everything with some high temp flat black bbq grill paint. If anyone has done their own headlight modifications please post pics. Any info on what paint and prep work was done would be appreciated. Do the chrome pieces need any special prep?

i have done this a few times. its a task. i strongly recommend buying another set to work with.

removing the chrome is as easy as windex and a paper towel. get a scotch pad to scuff up the pieces before paint.

Thanks. Just wanted to make sure no special prep was needed with the chrome pieces.
